Hi Daniel. This video is great, thanks so much! Do you have any videos on how to add the reassign button to the approval email? This has proved quite challenging so far.. Thanks

Hi Daniel. thanks for this example. Very helpful. I have a scenario where a flow is working on demand on a selected file in a document library. I have created 2 input files to be selected at run time. The name and type of files are only known at run time when the user selects them to attach. Can you please show how to attach such files to an approval flow? Thank you.

Thanks, Daniel. Any way to automatically launch SharePoint file links from Teams Approvals app in the Desktop version? I can have end users configure their Outlook settings for launch behavior, but so far haven't found anything on how to force launch behavior in MS Teams.

There should be now. It should work via this option: techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/microsoft-teams-public-preview/now-in-teams-public-preview-default-file-open-setting-for-office/m-p/2581566

Hi Daniel, just wondering if I can have an array in the item link (approval). I want to attach multiple files that will appear in MS Teams.

Sadly, there is only one item link allowed. For the attachments you can add multiple! There's a small T icon on the right side next to the attachments name text box. When you select that, you will be able to add an array in there. To me, it always helps having filling in the name and some text for the comment before selecting the T-icon because then it pre-fills the array partly.

Hi Daniel, at your example, on "Mannually trigger a Flow", how can I add a drop down list which gets data (a column actually) from SQL server table? Do you have a video about it? I need the one that creates the request to be able to select from this dynamic (SQL) drop down list. Kind regards.

Hi KNS - sadly I don't have a video about getting data from SQL. I might create a video on that later.

Hi, Daniel! Perfect video. Could you make video about approval reassigning. For example, when approver will reassign approval task to other few colleagues and type the comments. Other few colleagues will approve ,or not, and type the comments. And should be possible to see approval report or something like that. As far as I understand, should be two list in the Sharepoint one for the task base information and second list for the approval information. Lists should be connected dy task ID.

Excellent video !! I will be very grateful if you can help me with the following question: When I want to generate an approval flow with an attachment, this attachment is only for appearance, it means it doesn't open. I built the flow like this: 1. Trigger: When an item is generated ( through PowerApps) 2. Get file (from Sharepoint) 3. Get file content (from Sharepoint) 4. Initiate and wait for approval Thank you!!

@@javiermatsuokadiaz4661 It could be a few things; Have you included the file extension? When specifying the name of the file in your Approval step, have you ended it in the right extension name? Word documents would end in '.docx' e.g. MyFileName.docx If you're unsure on what the file extension should be, google should be able to help :) I think there is also an action which could replace your step 2 called 'get file name with extension'. That could be what you're after Let us know if that works

Hi Daniel, great content on Power Automate! I have been trying to explore the following and was wondering if you can point me in the right direction:- a. Record maintenance (as a printable document) of an approval form after it has been successfully approved (even multi-layer approval). I mean, what if I need to include that digital approval as an evidentiary document in a case. b. I have come across Adobe Sign as the most preferred way for digital signatures when we are using Teams or Power Automate. Any other/easier suggestions?

Thanks for your comment! For question A, I think Serge Luca has a solution for that in his BPM Toolkit. For question B, you can also use DocuSign!

Thanks for this Daniel! Is there now a way to change or modify that sender display name "Microsoft Flow" to other name?
@DanielLaskewitz

The only way to achieve this is to build the approval email yourself. You can achieve this by using the "create an approval" and "wait for an approval" action. Between these actions, you need to add a send an email (or send an email with shared mailbox) action. I might do a video about that soon.

@@DanielLaskewitz Thanks! My org doesn't want that "Microsoft Flow" as sender so we ended up using approval via "Send an email with options" connector. I can't wait your next video about this. Take care and stay safe!
