Some of the roads in my city can not be used anymore. The garage can stand outside in the street for 3 weeks. Because every dustbin truck is broken. So they try to borrow one from another city. South Africa has fallen. Idk if we will recover. The lucky ones are all immigrating. And not because they want to. I know 3 families leaving this year. Nevermind the current traffic inconvenience, rising costs will lead to rising inflation. It's already gone up 3+ times. For those of us that have sold our souls to own homes, we now have to fork out thousands more on our bonds. Super depressing 😥

Morning. Ok on the last question here why the bill is more. When the power goes out and you go over to the battery backup you are using the battery and it goes down in charge. Now when the power comes back the battery has to charge up again and this takes longer than the time we have power so the battery is not getting to the charge needed. Each time this puts more load on the charger and this takes more current and this is more power from the grid. This then leads to more units used on your meter and so the higher bill at the month end.
@blakiwhite5664
Жыл бұрын
Not really. The amount of units you use on battery power is massively reduced compared to when your mains are switched on. I doubt most peoples batteries power their fridges, geysers, and electric stoves. Battery power is only for small things like internet and a TV. So you are not using the same amount, and when they charge, sure some power is lost due to resistance in the system and batteries becoming inefficient, that may add about 25-40% power wastage. But that STILL doesn't add up to normal electricity usage. I have a battery system and a prepaid meter. I can definitely confirm we use less units the more loadshedding there is. I also know for a fact Eskom "estimates" your monthly bill as they dont want to pay staff to physically check everyones meters every month. Legally they must do a check every 3 months or so, as to have actual readings to base estimates off. But it remains that they are estimateing you are consuming normal power usage even when there's increased loadshedding. So I highly recommend getting a prepaid meter as you do not want to rely on the corrupt Eskom 'estimating' your bill, it will always favour them and cost you more than you actually used.

Well, if you are a black student, it's not advisable because Pravin will tell you that only engineers approved by Solidarity (white) are skilled. So it's no use are a black student to study that course coz you'll always be overlooked by Pravin. According to him, white skin means you are skilled, and black skin means you aren't skilled.

I had more than 100 tropical aquarium display fish dying since May 2022 when this heavy loadshedding started. Other people of all race and culture in our fish club also had plenty fish dying. I can only imagine what else all over the country is dying. People want to leave and sell all there equipment in the hobby because of loadshedding and cost increases and economy falling due to its result and existence. If people do not have a hobby, work or a man a way to supply and support his family financially it attacks him emotionally and psychologically. Now I know is are we going to keep complaining and just talk about it as entertainment and news, which doesn't lead to any solution or are we going to start a revolution....!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This goes a lot deeper that mere what is going on on the surface. What is our countries current world ranking? I used to be bad many years ago.
