Oakland has never been the same since.. Great video! EDIT: The era of the kingpins for sure had an effect on the streets and crime was more limited, exclusive. Today, the town that never had crips or bloods has (unfortunately) fallen victim to this whole new "drill gangangang" fad... dividing the entire city into two warring sides, effectively..

So true about being a great listener and paying attention to detail. A lot of people will read somehting and have no idea what they just read. You can learn so much by just listening and paying attention! I’ve always been very quiet since a baby, people think I’m cocky or just weird because of it. When they finally talk to me they’re always like, “damn bro I thought you was a weirdo but your over there absorbing all the info!” That’s how I got a bunch of girls, how I made money in the streets and it’s how I stay out of trouble. You stay quiet long enough and people will talk your not even there. That’s when I gain the advantage lol. No dudes in my school would ever crack jokes on me. I talked to your crush bro, I know about the time you cried because she said no when you asked her to prom! 😂😂 girls would tell me everything because they knew I wouldn’t go around telling people. Such an advantage to just shut up sometimes.

I remember Popa Joes carwash on 76th (I grew up on 76th Ave)… there was a Chinese restaurant across the street. One day Fee pulled up in the Rose Royce, couple of his cars in front of him and about 3 of his cars behind him. They parked… 2 BADD B***he’s hop out, one opened his car door, the 2nd one put a mink on his back as he stepped out…”Please keep in mind I’m like 8 or 9” I’m looking and soaking in Oakland, they stroll into the restaurant… a little while later they emerge with plenty of those white boxes. My young azz I’m like “Who is dat” ? My homeboy AF stated… dats Felix Mitchell…. I’m saying this to say, this guy really did waltz around Oakland like an Egyptian Prince… he really was Bigger Than Life. 💁🏾♂️ I saw that with my own young eyes thanks bro

The way this video is crafted, I don't understand the comparisons between Felix and Lil D. By the time they each got big, Fe was strictly heroin and D was strictly crack. They really didn't cross paths in that regard. In terms of money, power, and respect ... Fe was Goliath and D was David. A much better comparison and story is Felix versus Micky Mo--bitter enemies and direct rivals.
