@TimLeeLetsGo
4 жыл бұрын
Hi Blue, thanks for reaching out. Definitely go get one; it turns out to be lots of fun. I really like the Jet burner I have now (the last one was about 60k BTUs and was pretty good as well). Just make sure you get a burner that can focus the heat to a center spot. Some burners, while having a high btu, spread out the flame too much making it ineffective. I left some links in the description in case that's helpful. I do like the stainless steel version that I have as its more resistant to weathering (I do not know of any paint that can withstand the heat that theses things give out). Hope this helps :-)

Don’t think it’s safe to cook on your balcony with that type of equipment! You are required to have a hood and fire sprinkler system that most restaurants have. Be safe, oil and grease fire spreads fast!

Thanks Calvin, hope you're keeping well! Yeah, I was a bit concerned with the slight divergence of the videos, but do enjoy making them 🙂. Hopefully it doesn't cause too much confusion.

Put that on your VW and fly like a jet > 1st you need to season your new wok. How to season carbon steel wok. heat it up until it turn silver all over > NOT GLOWING RED HOT < > Let it cool then wash it out with a scrubber, soap, and water. Dry off ! Pour some oil in it, get it boiling hot, with some onions. move it around all over the inside of the wok. for at less 10. pour out the oil, onions! dry off and its ready to cook

Nice video bro, but high pressure wok burner like this usually took some practice before you can finally use it, since you might burn you food lolol

What brand is your burner?

Hi Marc, I got the KingKooker Dual Jet burner, but I found another manufacturer called Bayou Classic which seems a bit more powerful. Would be happy with either and these are built for seafood boils/craw-fish boils...I just repurposed it...

Doesn’t look like you really need the full 200k btus to do cooking? Although you can never have too much power if you just want to boil water... great video!

Tim, if you can find it, get Martin Yan's Yan Can Cook cookbook, I was gifted of it back in the early 80's and is it ever good!
