@@TheAdventuresofTNT I've been following your reactions from one Zeppelin song to another, and even though I've been a HUUUGE fan of the band for years, they have SO many great songs, that listening to a song like "Babe I'm Gonna Leave You" is like reuniting with an old friend: you embrace it like a big hug, and remember the good times you had when you first listened to the song. What I get a kick out of is now and again I'll encounter some high school kids with a Led Zeppelin t-shirt, and it's almost universal the response they have when I've asked them what they thought when they discovered Zeppelin. Their response is usually "So THIS is what rock music is supposed to sound like" (or words to that effect) and it brings a smile to my face every time. Great stuff!

@@TheAdventuresofTNT It should, no question. My best friend is a pretty well known rock/pop music critic, and while I've been VERY aware of not falling into our parents' "What kind of garbage are they playing nowadays?!" mindset, I asked my friend if he thought that today's music--in all genres--seems to pale in comparison to classic rock, R&B, Motown, etc? He wholeheartedly agreed. I also like various types of music, so while I think today's rock genre is essentially non-existent vs. the days of Zeppelin, Stones, Hendrix, Pink Floyd, Clapton, Sabbath, The Who, etc., etc. Then I also look at classic soul singers like Al Green, Marvin Gaye, James Brown, etc., and there's really no one nowadays that comes within light years of those legends, IMO. Same with hip-hop & rap, as I'm a big fan of the old-school stuff (Dre, Ice Tea, Doug E. Fresh, Rob Base, etc.) vs. the hit-mah-ho blah blah blah crap that I just can't get into nowadays. Like I say, I always try to keep an open mind and will fully acknowledge GOOD music when I hear it, but what does it say when society has exhalted the likes of Justin Friggin' Bieber as a musical "legend" today? Ugggh!

Man, the thing you have to know about Zeppelin is that their whole discography is must listen to music. That's not like most other bands. They don't have bad songs. They just have great and greater. Honestly, you could just start off the first track of the first album and listen to each song in order. Of course people have favorites but don't feel like you have to just do what people recommend. There's plenty of great shit that reacters almost never touch of theirs. Kind of a shame. Because it's all worthy of a listen.

The second song on their very first album. The thing about Zeppelin, for me, is that they are thought of as a Hard rock band but they were so much more. It was because of them that I delved into the blues and into folk music and into country music and of course rock. I am so grateful for my appreciation of all music. being a teenager in the 70s this band and Floyd, Stones, The WHO started my hunger for new music and lead me to bands like The Ohio Players, EW&F, Stevie, Bill Withers and so on. Thanks for appreciating & bringing this amazing, timeless music to a new generation. I kinda took it for granted back then that it would always be like that. sadly it's not. At least not to the level it was back then. Thanks again. Peace.

Led Zeppelin I, led Zeppelin III, Blind Faith, Bob Dylan's first album, The Doors first album, every song on these albums is a masterpiece. This particular song may be the best song in rock music history.

Now that the rock era is well and truly over we can look back and see that Led Zeppelin were the best rock band. No one came close really.

Little did we know that you all would love this music as much as we did. ZEP is by far the Kings of rock and many other types of music They do not have a bad song. AND THE MUSIC INDUSTRY HATED THEM ALL ROCKERS. I guess because they would WOULD NOT BE PUPPETS. They never won an award. NOT ONE OF THEM Well, the Stones, but we all found out later why. That is why the Rock and Roll hall of fame was created. To honor all of these amazing rock groups who did not get the credit from the industry, BUT WE LOVE IT. Mr Plant did finally win a Grammy with a Blue Grass Album he did with an amazing lady.
