I have a 6100/66 with the cable! It works well but the hard drive is sounding like it's going to fail soon. I really appreciate your tutorial on how to configure the SCSI2SD. Thank you very much!

Hi @JohnnyNismo, there is not much to it, really. Most of the time, it should be a plug and play sort of thing. Just remove your SCSI disk, add the SCSI2SD instead, add a SD card to it and boot the Mac using a System7 installation CD. Then, go from there. System should be able to see the newly installed disk.

My HDD died before I got a chance to copy the files over. Do you know where I can get the software for the DOS card?

Thanks a lot for the review! I have exactly the same system running and also got lucky finding a spare cable for the dos card. With the scsi2sd card underway i know now what to do to get it running. Would you know what max sd card size will be supported?

Hi Gerhard, thank you for the comment! As far as for the maximum size of the volumes you can create on the SCSI2SD, that depends on the MacOS version you are running. System 7 has a limit of 2GB per volume (if I remember correctly), whereas System 8 and 9 can handle up to 4GB (again, if I am not mistaken).

Yes, I replaced the thermal paste. You will have to as those boards get hot like hell. I also added a small fan...
