I love this band. Even my mother, who is not fond of such bands just fell in love with the singer's voice. As always they drove in an awesome song :D Greetings from Poland 🐺

song talks about We are more than proud to present our new single and music video "1589", which tells the story of Peter Stump, who lived near Cologne, Germany in the 16th century and is known today as the "Werewolf of Bedburg". After being defamed as a werewolf, the farmer confessed to several murders under torture, and was cruelly executed on October 31, 1589. they say he killed 18 people also accused of werewolfery, witchcraft and cannibalism. you can read about him on the internit

I've enjoyed your reactions to Powerwolf, Dave. 👍 I don't think they claim Sabaton as an influence (I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong) but when I heard this track yesterday my first thought was that it has something of a Sabaton "The Last Stand" vibe to it - musically and vocally not lyrically obviously. I like it. 😊🤘

This time it was the other way round - I checked this song out because several reactors I follow (including you) had reacted to it. Besides. Powerwolf is one the favourite bands of a very good friend of mine, so I had wanted to check them out for quite some time.) My, what a ride. Now, musically, they are a bit more "blocky" and straightforward than what I usually listen to, but I found the song quite appealing nonetheless. And you nailed what had bothered me with the video. I had only about guessed what was going on since the video had no subtitles and ironically, even if the singer seems to have some German accent (and I certainly do have myself, too), I couldn't understand him very well. But I, too, got the idea that some of the folks hunting the Werewolf down looked much more vile than he did.

Peter Stumpp's execution was perhaps the most brutal of the time. His limbs were broken on a wheel, his flesh was torn in "at least ten places", and finally beheaded. His daughter *who he had an incestuous relationship with) was flayed and burned.

I am interested in all these stories of werewolves, both ancient and current, because there is more and more evidence, whether in Europe or in the world, that the dogman or lycanthrope would still be relevant, have thought in the states united with the beast of Bray Road. all this fascinates me
