So there wasn't much actually said outside of him just promoting his company, like it was a 7 minute ad as opposed to actually going into details of how to actually improve accuracy.

But if this video brings a few more visits to his website, there will be many who can glean his upgrade services. And envy some awesome examples of his work.

I didn't learn much from this video, unlike the rest of Brownell's videos. This is more of an advertisement for Tyler Gun Works.

Bobby Tyler makes revolvers more accurate. His company accuracy package and action package for my Ruger GP100 22 S,L, LR 10 round revolver. And as a bonus reasonably engraved it very tastefully. Tyler Gun Works makes good revolvers great. I am a satisfied customer.

I've done much more hunting with a handgun than rifle. 1911, Glock 20, Smith 1006 in 10mm. Super Redhawk or Blackhawk in 44 mag.

Handguns are inherently less accurate and less powerful than rifles. If I really am concerned about making a humane kill on an animal I will use a rifle.

Great information, guys. Thanks for the video. That target was impressive, fired offhand at 25 yards, out of a 4-5” barrel Ruger Super Blackhawk? Baquero? Bullseye match grade accuracy. Like the looks of that octagonal custom barreled model.

judging by your examples on the table, would you say grips made of antler are a good upgrade for a non slippery comfortable grip on that damp morning in the woods you were talking about, vs something like the stock wood grips that come on a blackhawk?

Not a fan of the New Model Ruger Blackhawk. More of a traditional sort. Shot my first Colt SAA in 45Colt, in 1958 with BP loads. It was an 1884 model. Been shooting and maintaining them ever since. Rugers just ain't natural.😏

You´re sure not going to convince me that this guy is preparing those revolvers in front of your hunting game in Africa! I know people who hunted SA, Namibia and Kenia but handguns were nowhere allowed except for killing small to medium antilope at close range after a non-deadly shot.

Would you buy a Ruger and send to a custom gunsmith, or buy something like a Freedom Arms? Pricewise they are probably pretty similar, and both out of my range sadly.
@zenderfall

Freedom Arms only makes single action revolvers. If you want a super accurate double action revolver they won’t be able to help you.

modern revolvers deserve so much better better than iron sights. I wish that more companies offered red dot ready guns.

With old eyes optics are one of the first things to put on any gun if precision accuracy is a goal.

My local gun store has an xp 100. I may buy the unicorn. I aint never seen a left handed bolt action in the wild. I and 3 of my daughters and step son are left handed. The bolt is on right side so perfect for my left handed ask. I found my 1851 is better than my old cva for deer hunting. I like the case hardened look myself. This year I got 2 kids going to take hunter safety. Been waiting over 19 years for one of my kids to hopefully ask about going hunting. And the youngest wants to go trapping. Need to do some upkeep on my wife's single shot youth 410. Give it some protection for the kids to use. With led lights so cheap should take kids bow fishing. No more lugging heavy generator on the boat.

Used to handgun hunt back in 90s. I have taken AZ muley and javelina with a bone stock ruger Blackhawk in .41mag ...and... a tuned Colt Trooper Mk III in .357 mag. Most recently I've called coyote in to zap them with Taurus Raging Bull.22mag and Taurus 66 .357 mag. Nothing fancy. You just have to have good sight picture and shot placement. What helped most was previous silhouette competition with my Dan Wesson 15VH Pistol Pac which I never should have gotten rid of. Used the proceeds to purchase a home back in 80s. Good luck to the noobs.
