This just blows my mind that something so intricate could have been made in the early 1400’s.

The detail on the clock is incredible. And the amount of people in that square are also pretty crazy. Great shots of the clock in action, how long did you have to wait until it hit the hour? Consider us subscribed! We also try to give as much history as we can in our videos, haven't hit Europe yet though so we'll be using these videos as inspiration!

I was on tour with my band this year in Europe and when we played Prague we had some time to explore the city. I was lucky enough to get to see this, I knew about the clock but came across it by accident - I looked up and saw it and was immediately in awe!

Presently, I am appalled by the astrological symbols on the clock, knowing how much Gᴏᴅ hates astrology and knowing of His biblical prohibitions against astrology. I will do a little bit of research behind these symbols to find what connections they may have to Christian ideas. I'm sure I'll find such stories but think it likely their invention will be to facilitate the assimulation by the Roman Catholic Church of Paganism, a _very- common practice by the Roman Catholic Church. As a person who enjoys science and mathematics and mechanics, particularly clocks, I do like this one a lot, but I perceive there is a great deal of human evil incorporated into this one, as well.
@handycandy7244

Please get educated. Those symbols where purely taken scientific at that time, they represented sun going on eclipse thru all those star constelations. Also it show part of the year and many other things, there is nothing "astrological" in that, astrology came much later and has no base on science. Also I dont know why you call catholic church pagan, but it denied astrology from it's very begining, very often with the hardest punishment (excommunication).
@rubiks6

@@handycandy7244 - Astrology has been around since men could see stars and didn't know what they were. Astrology has been around since the Tower of Babel. Moses warned the Israelites against worshiping the Sun, Moon and Stars, as well as graven images. Roman Catholic churches are all quite full of graven images. “Therefore watch yourselves very carefully. Since _you saw no form_ on the day that the Lord spoke to you at Horeb out of the midst of the fire, beware lest you act corruptly by making a carved image for yourselves, in the form of any figure, the likeness of male or female, the likeness of any animal that is on the earth, the likeness of any winged bird that flies in the air, the likeness of anything that creeps on the ground, the likeness of any fish that is in the water under the earth. And *_beware lest you raise your eyes to heaven, and when you see the sun and the moon and the stars, all the host of heaven,_* you be drawn away and bow down to them and serve them, things that the Lord your God has allotted to all the peoples under the whole heaven." - Deuteronomy 4.15 - 19 (ESV) (Emphasis added.)
