Just after 12 PM this afternoon a wires down call came in to the Fullerton Fire Dept. at the 900 BLK of Las Palmas Dr. With the red flag warning the wind sparked a vegetation fire in a residential backyard. With the dry brush and Santa Ana winds, the fire spread quickly uphill and into the trees. The embers from the trees were swooped away with the high winds and sparked multiple fires on many properties one block west of the original call. 2 palm trees burned next to a property igniting another shrub in a backyard. Producing heavy smoke and flames. Embers were also carried onto a two story house igniting a small attic fire. Fullerton FD was unable to handle their own due to resources stretched thin with multiple calls at once. The agencies involved were Fullerton Fire Dept. Los Angeles County Fire Dept., Brea Fire Dept., and Anaheim Fire Dept. It took crews just over 2 and half hours until complete knockdown
