This stuff is hilarious! So much for perfect preservation, perfect grammar, perfect transmission etc. 🤣🤣🤣 Don't forget to leave a copy of the 📗 on your bathroom shelf just incase you run short of 🚽 🧻.

@@omarhourani8424 p227 Shady Nasser's Transmission of Variant Readings of the Quran "By creating a database of variants for selections from the Quran and a few poems from the en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mufaddaliyat, I was able to create twenty-three categories of variants applicable to both Quran and poetry. The first important observation is that both literatures *share the same types of variants* regardless of the proportions and percentages of each type in its respective genre. The limitations of the consonantal outline of the Quran and its liturgical and theological restrictions have definitely produced different proportions of the variants from those in poetry, which is restricted by meters and rhymes. The variants which are due to discrepancies in case endings and internal vowels are more frequent in the Quran, and I attribute this to the eponymous Readers’ modest knowledge of Arabic grammar and syntax, unlike the transmitters of early Arabic poetry who were mostly grammarians and philologists."

For every hater out there don't insult your intelligence like those who commented below this to think that he is talking about the Quran... He is specifically talking about poetry..a. and if you think Quran is poetry ready chapter 69 of the Quran (the last verses)

The speaker is speaking only about poetry. The title and owner of this channel on the other hand is speaking about poetry and the Qur'an. Read the title. He's saying the Qur'an has variations and so does poetry, therefore, the Qur'an is poetry. Which is as dumb as saying, "Dogs have legs and humans have legs. Therefore, dogs and humans are the same."

@acethegreat2946 your analogy is wrong: comparing the variants between poetry and the Quran is like comparing the difference between two human legs from two different people. They are both human legs but from different individuals.

@@inquisitivemind007 So you agree it's from different sources. One from Allah and the other from humans. Good for you for finally coming around. Jokes aside. I think your problem is you don't appreciate the Arabic language for what it allows. The various readings were taught by the prophet and they are mercy from Allah. Try all you want to muddy it but you never succeed

@@inquisitivemind007 The differences in poetry and that of the Qur'an are not identical. The clearest example of this are the rules of tajweed that follow each reading that poetry doesn't have. Which is one of the distinguishing features of the Qur'an. Not to mention the fact that Islam succeeded in the end against all odds. Truly a miracle for anyone with intellect.

Lol ill educated error, al mu'alaqqat as sab'ah are not the ahruf as sab'ah. He's referring to the 7 famous poems. The ahruf As Sab'ah are divine revelation, it's got nothing to do with this...eejit

Let me educate you: variant readings are nothing special and unique to the Quran. Any orally transmitted text has variant readings. Same goes for hand written copied texts. Variation is nothing unique to the Quran.
