80 micrograms of silver fulminate (AgCNO). Relative atomic mass of Ag: 107.8682, relative atomic mass of C: 12.011, relative atomic mass of N: 14.007, relative atomic mass of O:15.999. Molecular mass of AgCNO: 149.8852gmol^-1. Percentage mass of Ag in AgCNO: 107.8682/149.8852 = 72% 72% of 80 micrograms is 57 micrograms. You can expect some loss from the explosion too, so about 50 micrograms is a fair estimate.

Once when I was at my grandparents' house, I was unwrapping a bunch of these things into a little dixie cup in their garage. I think it was about half full when the whole thing suddenly exploded, loud enough to cause a short-lasting ringing in my ears and my grandfather to rush out and see if everything was alright. To this day, I don't know exactly why they detonated. My only guess was that the weight of the grains was somehow enough to start the reaction.
@literallyunfunny

Same thing happened to me as a kid. I was emptying several of them onto a napkin in an attempt to make a jumbo popper. For some reason, it hadn't detonated and the fuse was gone when we found it. One of us thought it would be a good idea to try to smash it with a hammer. It wasn't a good idea. Calling someone a childish moron when just one comment thread above this one you said that you bit down onto one of these and your mouth "Tasted like pennies for an hour" Don't call someone a childish moron when you yourself are clearly a fucking idiot.

Silver fulminate has been used for primer, but it's spread so thinly on the gravel that the snappers aren't usable for that purpose.

When my cousin was little he put hundreds of pop its in a piece of paper and twisted it to make a giant pop it. One night he was in his room and he was twisting the top to make it look more like a pop it and it blew up. My uncle said he heard a big "boom", and my cousin said the pop it rocks flew all over the room. His hands and face were black as well. Haha, good times
