A no-cost, precision seeder for small seeds was made by cutting the corner from an envelope in an arc fashion. The crease in the bottom of the seeder 'singulates' the seeds - ie. places them in a single file. The seeder is placed in one hand and a sharp pencil is held by the other hand to guide seeds to their target. The author can plant about 20-30 seeds per minute with this seeder. The author learned this technique from Hawaii vegetable growers many years ago.
