What size sprocket should I run on the transmission for just a good puller not concerned with speed. Thanks in advance and keep them coming.

New subscriber here!! I love this thing!! You are a man right after my own heart. This video is completely awesome. You are the man!!!.....Super cool video!! I have been assembling a machine shop to support my KZitem channel that I will be starting with the build of a 1928 Morgan RIP GN special 3 wheeler with 4 wheels. I am using an experimental aircraft opposed twin supercharged engine. This will be mated to an MG 4 speed manual gearbox with a 2 piece hand cast aluminum adapter. This will be connected to an MG differential with beautiful wire wheels. The frame I stood over steel and will have aircraft cloth stretched over and sprayed with plasticizer. This will have a boat tail look and is essentially a 20's airplane without a propeller or wings. There is only one other in existence and Charlie Martin races it in the UK. The next project lined up is the building of a Brooklands style cycle car similar to the Pembleton. This will have a BMW R-100 engine in the front and four wheels with gorgeous leather interior and even space for luggage. I look forward to seeing everyone over at the channel when it gets warm out enough to be in the barn in Pennsylvania .....

That sounds like some really nice projects you have coming up , I would definitely check it out. I will say one thing, when you are first starting out and you are tinkering with stuff that most people have never heard of, it may be hard to get noticed , that is a big reason why I stick to these VERY popular engines that people are searching and projects they are in . Just my 2 cents , getting " out there" on KZitem is difficult!

Sound like you have it geared right for the road gear... just enough to let the clutch fully engage on the flats in high gear, so you don't burn it up 👍 Not sure that's quite low enough on 1st gear though. As the ol' timers would say "it wouldn't pull a greasy string out of cat's hind end". Might wanna find an old granny gear trans, or double drive it for a lower first. You're right... people underestimate what you can do with 6hp.

A big engine would be nice but I think it would be more scientific to just keep putting more small motors on. Each with thier own centrifugal clutch but a different gear ratio. Not a big jump between motors like leave the first motor with the existing number of teeth then the second one with like 3 more and a 3rd motor with 6 more. I would recon it would kinda act like an automatic transmission on a RC car. I know you think CVT's are troublesome so reinvent a centrifugal based automatic. All 3 small motors running at once would be so cool, especially if you made a log style common exhaust manifold. Think the drive line on this platform should be left alone. I could see just putting regular tires on it to run as a test bed for different small motors you could get. I imagine finding weird small motors on buy and sells to run and do benchmarks with. Like top speed , biggest incline , most fuel efficient , ect. It would allow you to put the big tires on something else while keeping an interesting test bed. Use it like a small motor dyno you drive around. Doing a great job on your channel!
