Looks like a great boat. Maybe next time record a little closer so we can see interior features and how the motor goes in to the boat.

Hello Tim! Another video review of the XL indicated that there was significant vibration when using the motor...have you noticed this? There was also mention of the foot steering system not being smooth...your observations? Thanks!

+TheFishinFanatic I have not noticed much vibration. You are certainly going to get a little, especially when you crank it up, but it isn't bad. If you run the prop aground and damage it, the damaged prop will certainly vibrate. Or, if you have loose contents laying in the bottom of the console they will vibrate. I placed a small pad in the console storage tray to dampen any vibration. I fish some pretty shallow water and have no trouble spooking fish. As for the steering, There are a few things that I see others do which makes the steering sticky. The first is very subtle. Having kayaked before you realize in this boat how much pressure you apply to the foot pedals while sitting. If you are making a turn and apply pressure to the opposing pedal it will make turning feel difficult. It feels counter-intuitive to take pressure off one pedal, but I got used to it very fast. Another thing is to keep the pedal tracks clean. If any sand, dirt, or salt (dried salt from saltwater use) gets on the track it will cause it to bind. Keep the tracks clean, but do not lubricate them or they will collect dust. I have used Blade-Cote and Dupont Dry-Film lubricant on mine. They both work great and I can't notice if one works better than the other. I have more video tips coming out soon that discuss these and more.

@@Arty_left I'm not sure about that. You'd have to contact Old Town customer service.

I contacted old town and Minnkota, apparently the only option is to purchase the whole unit ... $1200!
