You absolutely must get a Jané buggy. My friend has one and I so regret not having it for my two (I had an iCandy and a bugaboo). Hers has an amazing seat which the newborn can sleep in on the buggy but it can also go in the car in a horizontal position which I've never come across. It also can be used on aeroplanes and as a travel cot. It's incredibly well made and folds up very neatly. The lying down buggy seat I mention can fold in the middle and becomes and upright car seat/buggy seat too. Plus it has the lovely big wheels which are essential for country walks. Enjoy your pregnancy Fleur, love from Emily (I've watched you since day one💕) xxx

Emily Siemieniec actually going in the car in the horizontal position is not nearly as safe as a car seat for newborns, not to mention illegal in some countries! We are getting a Bugaboo Cameleon3 and will attach a Cybex Car Seat probably

I'm 31 weeks pregnant and have had a really good pregnancy so far. No cravings and haven't felt sick. The only thing is the activity at night-time. I used to sleep on my belly, but can't do that anymore and sometimes not even on the side as the result will be kicks and stretching inside my belly. And for the gender... it's a girl. My mum didn't feel sick at any of her pregnancies as well, and she had 3 girls and 1 boy... :-)

I have the I candy peach. It folds so easy and it's really light. It's expensive as you have to buy all stuff separately but worth it. If you have a john lewis near you book a nursery appointment, it's free. They go through everything with you, buggies, car seats, anything. What baby wears to sleep, nursery sets, bath stuff as much or as little as you want. I tried all the buggies and this suited me best xx

I highly, highly recommend looking at carriers or wraps! They were a god send with my son for around the house when he wouldnt settle down and I wanted to get stuff done but also perfect for things like grocery shopping or going into small stores that its kind of a pain to bring in a stroller/buggy or the carseat. I recommend the Boba Wrap for 6 months and below as it is super easy to use and you can use it from birth and then I used an Ergo with my son once he could hold his head up and you can wear it on the front or back and its super easy to use and they come in tons of cute colors/designs. Like I said, I couldnt live with out a carrier for my son and if I have another one I will definitely be doing the same :) congrats and I cant wait to hear more and more about your pregnancy/baby journey!!

Recommendations: For the car, look into the Doona car seat. It's a car seat with wheels attached so it converts into a stroller with no extra pieces. Best invention ever. Just got one for my almost 3 week old and love it. Going in and out of the car is a breeze. For stroller, I looked into the bugaboo but ended up liking the uppababy more. I like that the seat/bassinet is higher up (though I am short at 5'2") and that the basket is bigger. Also, I found folding it was easier and that once baby is big enough for the seat, the seat can stay on the base (when forward facing) while being folded. Definitely a good idea to actually wheel the strollers around and fold/open them to get a feel what will work for you. Good luck and feel well! Very exciting time - enjoy every moment!

Aww congratulations Fleur & Mike! I've been watching your channel from roughly the time when you got Mike to do the boyfriend tag!! & now you're both married and expecting a baby haha, mental!! Totally agree with your outlook on how you want to parent. I was exactly the same when I was pregnant with my little girl 😊 the only thing I would say is during the first year, try not to get disheartened if it feels like it's not going to plan. I did because I felt like the whole baby routine/sleep etc etc was taking over my entire life ha. After the first year though everything gets SO much easier. Becoming a parent changes your life in a way that you can't quite comprehend until it happens, but luckily we adapt rather quickly and it's definitely the best job in the world! Challenging of course, but still the best none the less! I have no doubt that you and mike will be brilliant parents. All the best for the rest of your pregnancy! 😊 xx

Don't know if they're available in the UK... but you might want to take a look at Joolz strollers :-) They are one the best strollers, made in the Netherlands! They are made for rough weather and/or countryside walks due to the inflatable tires, but are also stylish and looking quite chic. Also, the cot is placed a bit higher than the ones of the Bugaboo - which makes it very easy to watch or pick up your baby and it is also very comfortable when you and your husband don't have the same height (as we do - I am a little one and my husband is not :-)). Also, I can handle the stroller easily with my height (in terms of collapsing and putting it in the car etc.) and they are compatible with Maxi Cosi carseats. We are now using one for 8 weeks (our daughter Ruby is born on the 23th of May) and we love it so much!

I'm currently pregnant as well and I did not know about the old wives tale about having a girl makes you more sick, our family's theory was that boys made you sicker and I was SO beyond horribly sick for about 2-3 months. I also come from a family of like 90% boys and very few girls, so I was very shocked to find out I was having a girl from my blood test. Like any other parents, we only care about having a healthy baby, but my husband was hoping for a girl (and I, for a boy) so he was so happy when we found out. Can't wait to hear about the gender reveal, Fleur!

I had a boy (who recently turned 4) and I was SOOOOO sick during my pregnancy from months 2-4. I still remember the first time I threw up, I was about to leave to go to a language learning class I was taking and as I reached for the door I was suddenly overcome with nausea and thought.. maybe I should just sit. So I sat down and then threw up. And from that moment on for the next 2 months I threw up every half hour almost on the dot. I stayed in bed nearly the whole time as walking around and going out only seemed to make me more sick and I would throw up every single thing that I ate. I craved eating fruit during that time but it really hurt to throw up the citrus (umm.. well, more than other foods). Later in pregnancy craved salty foods. My pregnancy was great once I got over the sickness! Pregnancy is so much more enjoyable when you are not super sick! Enjoy every moment of it!

I loved, loved, LOVED my Bugaboo. I had the original one with pink hood. It is super light, you can lift it with one hand (wheels and baby in it). It was great in the city and off road, we took it into the fields and it coped just great. I still miss it, my daughter is 8 years old. :) What I found, is that I needed different prams for different things (or I just loved my prams :). I had one for travel (flights), it was tri-fold and weighted 3kg and was from birth,. I had a Mount buggy, 3 wheeler with proper big wheels, it was really big, used when daughter was 4 (was easier to take her for distances and great for a supermarket shop). I look at it like cars: you have a mini, Mike has a truck, baby can have a Mini and a Truck. I am so happy for both of you :)

Btw the best thing we "purchased" for baby was private session with lactation consultant/maternity nurse when we came home from hospital with our first baby. The cost was negligible if you consider everything you are buying and it had helped so much, she was with me for ages, showing good positions, tips and tricks. She also answered any questions regarding baby care. It put us at easy and helped me breastfeed. I also went private with my pregnancy care, i have a private gyno/obs who has been looking after me for years before pregnancy and through both my pregnancies. I did not have a private care for birth but loved the hospital I chose.

I have bugaboo donkey for my two rascals. I have 6 week old and 17 months old boys 😃 even though the bugaboo seems heavy it is a dream to push and use, folding is easy and both kids seem very comfy, we are using the carry cot for the tiny one and the seat for the older one. The sun cover is amazing and much better than anything else on the market, i had mutsy before I got pregnant second time and the bugaboo is much easier to push. We paired it with cybex cloud q but i hardly ever leave the baby in the car sear outside of the car as it is not good or comfy for them, i prefer placing him in the carry cot. It is a good car seat though... Good luck finding the right buggy.....

Buying a buggy was the hardest thing for me to buy. It made me anxious, angory, sad to the point when my daughter was born and I still didn't have a pushchair. I finally decided to by with my heart and went with Silver Cross Wayfarer and I love it. I had my friends and family buying two, three pushchairs for different needs etc but my Wayfarer never let me down and after 1,5 year it looks brand new and waiting for another baby. One thing thoug: my LO is not a huge fan of Buggies LoL (not only this one, we tried with different ones as well). I think she gets bored easily. Once she started sitting up she wanted to explore and now that she can walk she prefers to do that instead., so I use pushchair if we are going somewhere just the two of us. I am happy that I didn't buy anything fancy expensive. Anway first seven months everyday use was easy, pushchair drives lovely and is not heavy to the point I ever had to struggle with it.

I love the baby jogger city mini. it's light, compact, and it folds up with one hand. it is a little expensive and has to have specific carseats to go with it and you have to buy all accessories that go with it but it's worth it with the convenience of the stroller. I've tried out tons of different ones and always come back to the baby jogger. we have the city mini single and the city mini double. love both!
@mus1cman7

Fleur, I hope this question isn't too intrusive, but could you discuss your thoughts on the harmony test and your processing/how you would go about it if the results are positive to high risk of down syndrome? I know it must be quite difficult to think of this being the case as Downs does come with several health complications, but others in the community do shed light on the blessing that their Downs kids are to them and those they encounter. I'm going into pediatric medicine, so that's why I am interested/tuning into these vlogs -- helpful insight from the pregnant females perspective! Hopefully this isn't offensive, just curious to hear how you handle the possibility of complications/health issues. We talk a lot as health students about the bioethics of these genetics tests, but would love to hear the more personal perspective! :) Best wishes, Stephan.

We're looking to get the occaro push chair the cybex car seat. But living in a desert we don't really need anything for running or rocky terrains. I totally get how you feel about the scans! The 10 week one made me cry. Seeing a little actual baby shaped blob 😭😭

When I was pregnant with my first I started shopping at 16 weeks when I found out the gender. 2nd time I didn't start shopping until 24 weeks! I realised 2nd time babies don't need half as much as I thought! X

Actually the NHS does offer the 'harmony' test! It's at 12 weeks (Down syndrome/spina bifida etc/.... This is something private care lie about so you think you are getting something special/extra and then you feel justified in spending your cash! Please please don't hesitate about the care you will receive on the NHS....remember private care is a business and you and your baby are not always priority...but your pay check is!

Steven Williams Agreed... there's no point having extra scans, if something's not right, a scan isn't going to change that as there is no treatment for an aneuploid embryo. The NHS doesn't scan until 12 weeks because of this. Extra scans are only useful if you have infertility or recurrent loss in working out what is happening and how far along you can get. Otherwise you're just lining the pockets of private healthcare providers.

I can't believe they told her it wasn't available on the NHS! I think the NHS were amazing for myself and my baby! I would never doubt going with the NHS for my next pregnancies

Steven Williams I had that test with my son who's 17 now on the NHS. Definitely worth getting for peace of mind. Congratulations

@FleurDeVlog If someone walks in the room right now I'm sure they will think I'm loosing my marbles lol, Ive had a grin on my face the whole time watching you talk about your pregnancy, I feel you happiness Fleur, I'm sure advice is pouring in on what to do and what not to do during your pregnancy I believe mum knows best for her baby and your body will let you know more than you think. One thing I would say is start reading to baby Boy/Girl now and play music, he/she can hear you read and you will be surprised how charming you voice is it now and when baby is born. Thank you for cheering up my day Fleur, it's exciting to be following your progress take care pretty lady 😊😘

You have exactly the same cravings and sickness as I did and I had a little boy 😜 (now 10 months old!) It's definitely worth shopping around for buggies and going with something that works for you (I personally found the bugaboo didn't fit in our car very well!) We went for a classic Dutch brand called the Mutsy Evo and we love it. My only essential recommendations are; it can be front and rear facing (I like having baby facing me but my husband likes to swap it round) and it has a big basket that's easy to access (you'll be forever loading it with shopping). Hope you're still feeling good and you've reached the glorious energy filled second trimester! Xx

I'm so excited for you and Mike Fleur! Don't feel you have to explain yourself for having private scans, as a English girl now living in Australia, id say it is half and half if people have their babies and scans private or public. I had both of mine in a private hospital and the scans as well, and for me I just wanted that extra reassurance, but of course it is a big expense. I would highly recommend looking at the icandy prams If you haven't already, I love mine, it is so light, easy to walk and run with and is narrow so great for in the shops! Also looks great. You're looking wonderful x

I highly recommend Sarah ockwell smith in the gentle parenting. Also the wonder weeks so that you can see what happens during leaps for baby.

I had a bugaboo cam in navy and cream which was beautiful- but in terms of use I hated it. I had a c section with a rubbish recovery and I just couldn't use it properly and easily. I also HATED that you needed to remove the chassis to collapse it. So when my son was 8 weeks old I sold it and bought a mama and papas armadillo flip. Ugly pram. And quality wise - nothing compared to the bugaboo. But literally the easiest pram to collapse, it's compact. It's just amazing. I think sometimes when you have a baby you just have to go with what works for you. X

I got super sick (like, 10-11 weeks of sickness) and mine is a boy! I dread to think if I was having a girl how bad the sickness would've been 😂 I have had NHS scans but had a gender scan privately and must say I did really enjoy it. Although the NHS ones have been fine too, just a little more rushed (which is expected). Glad to hear you've not been too sick, hope your pregnancy continues as well as it's begun xx

I know you will get tons of recs regarding what you should do, but the best thing my husband and I did for our girls was banking their cord blood and tissue. If it's available to you, consider it. Exciting times!

shiv Power When a baby is born, the blood from the umbilical cord, as well as the umbilical cord itself, can be harvested and frozen. The stem cells in the blood and tissue can then be used by the child to help, possibly, in the treatment or curing of a lot of different diseases. Both my girls can use each other’s cord blood and tissue because they are so genetically similar. Last I heard, there were around 80 different diseases that can be treated with cord blood.

I work for Mamas & Papas and they do a personal shop service where they take you through all the different things you will need for baby which includes going through the different buggies available. We do sell a variety of bugaboo buggies and the store staff are all trained by the brands on the products. Definitely worth a look :-) xx

We have the Bugaboo Cameleon which is a bit smaller than the buffalo. After using it for more than 20 months I would definitely recommend it in terms of quality as it is very good, very long lasting and we are planning on using it also for our second baby due in october. It's also perfect for you as you live in the countryside as it goes everywhere. Nevertheless, I would say the downside of the Bugaboo is definitely its weight: it's quite bulky and heavy, if you guys are looking for a lighter stroller more adapted to the city I would recommend looking at other models such as the Yoyo by Babyzen or other brands. Congrats on the baby! 💕
