Hi :) Did you take cod liver oil your whole pregnancy? And did you stop a certain amount of time before giving birth?

Hi! I took it the entire time (except the first trimester when I couldn't stomach anything). :) I never stopped before birth. Of course, consult your midwife or OB!

I will probably make an updated video on how I’m doing things differently with my current pregnancy. I’m doing things slightly differently and have noticed improvements. I was only sliiiiightly low iron in the pregnancy I was in when I filmed this video.

Do you worry about the lead and cadmium in oysters?

I don’t, and here’s the link for why: www.crownprince.com/warnings.htm?fbclid=IwAR2iTDHR9Ld348WsxrTvTl4tgQtK4-YwwXqySEmOGnOdA844yTUPtOEHLdY The minerals far outweigh the risks in my opinion. But if it doesn’t feel right to you then I would hold off.

Do you still stand by these supplements?

Very wise to be asking this! I do stand by all these. The only thing I would do differently is take a prenatal (without iron) just to be sure I’ve covered ALL my bases if I have a day where diet is not so good. The one I like is called FullWell prenatal multivitamin. Linked below. It’s one of the best I’ve found without all the other nasty ingredients and actually has ENOUGH of the vitamins necessary to support a healthy pregnancy. The only issue is you have to take 8 pills. Oh, also with the adrenal cocktails I’ve removed those (don’t want that much sugar in my diet) and just do a mix of cream of tartar and sea salt a couple times a day. amzn.to/3GhTeQF

@@TransformedHomemakersSocietyThanks! I’ve been taking Baby and Me 2 but will look into your recommendation. I also take an iron supplement sporadically to make sure my ferritin level is optimal. Plus, calcium, vit d , NAC at minimum levels to make I’m covered. It’s really hard and expensive to get everything through food. Do you know the research on decaf coffee or caffeine under 50mg? I have never been a coffee drinker but find myself craving it now. The research I find is even 50-200mg caffeine is harmful but what about less than 50mg decaf? 🤔 Thank you for your reply. Best wishes for your beautiful family and channel!

So I’ve always stood by the research that one cup of coffee a day is fine. I would highly recommend the book “Real Food for Pregnancy” by Lily Nichols. She has hundreds of citations on research she used to back her claims and she has a whole section in the book about caffeine. If you aren’t a coffee drinker but crave caffeine, maybe a really good dark chocolate would do the trick? You’d also get some important minerals at the same time!
