ADS really are producing some top quality products. But not cheap. And i appreciate their easily accessible sds - should be a legal requirement i think. I hate emailing companies for this info. What are you trying to hide? (Says the cynicist in me) And thank you for your honest appraisals. Really valuable

SO VERY TRUE. I downloaded every single one they showed on their site, though I do need to go back and get the revisions. Other companies HIDE them or make you scan the QR code once you buy their product... that's only available on line. Or I've seen one company say look at the SDS sheets so you can determine if you can use it in your kitchen or not, but they don't post their SDS sheets right there on their site.

I have a few of those HF drying towels. I just bought another one the other day. I really like them. Gray side: 90% polyester, 10% polyamide; Neon green side: 75% polyester, 25% polyamide. I just use the neon side. I only use the grey side for glass if I need to. They are a good size and really soak up the water. I find they are just the right weight to put down on the vehicle. I mean you can control it so that it pretty much lays flat. When it gets wet it doesn’t get to heavy. If you get 2 towels you won’t have any issues drying a vehicle since you have a back up if needed. The price for even 2 towels is awesome. I use rinseless solution as my drying aid when I do a soap contact wash so the panels can be a little wetter than normal but I just use 2 towels and it works very well. I have a couple of medium sized gauntlet drying towel and only use 1 of them for some light touch ups at the end if I need to.

Those harbor freight drying towels are really great for the price. It was my first drying towel before I upgraded to the R2R liquid8r. I still use the HF drying towel though.

They are perfect gifts for people just starting out with their first car, too. They go on sale every month or two and if you buy 2, they'll easily do a large SUV. One handles a smaller car or coupe.

I have Griots 3 in 1 on my car, would the decon wash take it off or help it like a maintenance wash? Thanks for your videos!!

I'm not sure of the ph tolerance of the 3 in 1, so I really can't answer truthfully. Spray sealants are generally weaker than full ceramic coatings, and weak enough to be harmed by higher ph strip washes. That one though is an amazing product from what I've seen. I edited this because I said originally that the sealants were stronger than coatings. Don't know what I was writing. Lol

No it wont. I applied TW Ceramic spray coating to the wifes vehicle in April. It gets a rinseless wash ~ once a week. About 2 months ago I applied 3in1 and the TW to both rear quarter pannels just to compare(on top of the existing TW applied in april.). I foamed rinsed foamed and bucket washed using this product(V1) and the entire car still had excellent water beading everywhere after the wash...

If it works for you, go ahead and keep using it. Not all decon soaps are created equal.

can you clarify why you prefer the Legacy Sponge better than the Ultra Safe Sponge? I can't decide which one to get.
@TheOutdoorDetailer

It holds water better and is more consistent based on water temperature. It's hard to explain, but if the water is really cold with the ultra safe sponge, it feels like it doesn't soak up water as good from the bucket.

safe on ppf? Thanks
@TheOutdoorDetailer

Yes! The front of the SUV has PPF. And the Decon Soap works fantastic on bugs! In fact no need for a separate bug remover most times, which if you don't kniw, some contain solvents and can be harmful to clay decon towels. (The GTechniq W8 as as example started messing with some synthetic clay I had)

This decon damage black plastic or rubber trim ?
@TheOutdoorDetailer

It does not. I wouldn't let it dry on the surface though. Not sure what will happen but it's generally not a good idea unless it's ph balanced.
