As always, Norm, I enjoy watching whenever you post a video. I am putting my gear together myself getting ready for trapping. Does your season start in December? My season here in Northern Alaska starts November 1 and if I can get across a small river just beyond where I park my truck after about 170 mile drive North from my home. I will be staying in an Arctic Oven tent at first. Have you ever used that tent? They are made in Fairbanks and are the best I have ever used for extreme cold. I will look for your next post in the next few weeks before I leave at the end of this month. God bless you and keep you safe, Norm, from your Alaska trapping bud.

My season starts October 1st if I had beaver on my line and could get to my line. Winter access only for me. No beaver around those shallow lakes. I’ve seen a few beaver houses in the past but not any live ones lately. I looked up that tent just now. Never heard of them. Look like good ones. Take care out in the land. I look forward to an update on your season.

@truenorthliving9557

I live in southern Manitoba just outside the town of St.Laurent. I drove 7 hours north to Thompson and got on the train ( I leave my truck in Thompson while in Churchill). I then travelled to Churchill (Train ride is 16 hours). I store my skidoo and some supplies at my dads old cabin which is about 10 kms outside of Churchill. I was using a friends truck while in town. My trapline is 76 kms west of Churchill. I had to much stuff for the December (9 boxes) trip to Churchill so I decided to make a 5 day trip out of it and get my extra gear to Churchill plus get my skidoo ready for the season. Then of course I do the trip back home, Churchill by train to Thompson. Pick up my truck in Thompson and drive home to St. Laurent. Hope this helps
