The Feds has unleashed chaos! every day we encounter novel challenges that have become the new standard. Although we previously perceived it as a crisis, we now acknowledge it as the new normal and must adapt accordingly. Given the current economic difficulties that the country is experiencing in 2023, how can we enhance our earnings during this period of adjustment? The labor force is done.. their incomes can no longer qualify them for an apartment and a used car. The credit agencies use debt to income ratio and there is only so much debt you can take versus income. The wages are now FALLING as we have a doubling of living costs. Unless you received a doubling of your wage since 2021, you have lost half your living standard. Even six figure earners arent qualify for rents. It is all mathematics. Even those earning north of 100K (single no kids) are now struggling- 55% being late on two or more bills

I agree with a lot of what Ed Dowd is saying. I disagree with his take that gold trades as a commodity. But, you said it, Ed, "I'am a capital markets guy". It only might be considered trading like that due to the minuplation of the COMEX. Gold is a teir 1 asset. If you hold it, you have no counter party risk. BRICS nations are moving toward holding commodities as assets and selling US Treasuries. (The first to lose trust in the politics of the USD and the inflationary value losses.) The most common of these commodities is silver. Gold is in a new class. It is the only other teir 1 asset in the financial market. Central banks and investors are buying physical gold to secure their assets against inflation with no counter party risk. The BRICS countries are setting up physical gold exchanges and not leveraged commodity exchanges like COMRX. Holding a T-bill is also a teir 1 asset but it has risks. Credit risk, currency risk, political risk. The USD has been used as a weapon against countries who disagree with the US policies. Thank you for the great interview Julia!

Dowd is awesome, pure fire. We're rocketing towards the next Great Depression but I think it will take several months before the real fireworks start. EW count has us starting the first move lower this summer into fall/winter before finding footing and beginning to rally out of the hole. We'll rally into a lower high in 18-24 months after we bottom this year. There's a chance for a higher high into '26 or '27 but it's not very probable. Either way, we'll top in 26-27 and begin the real downside move then. Get small, get out of any/all debt. Own real assets, your home, metals/miners, treasuries and fiat in your safe. Things are going to get absolutely nasty!

I’m pulling my RRSP to be able to afford my taxes. I will pay half of my RRSP right away to taxes just to pull it out, then the rest to pay income taxes for this year. I couldn’t afford to pay my taxes versus put my expense on a credit card. I decided that the government interest was less than credit cards. We are all underwater. My utility bills are $700 a month in Canada, my mortgage for a small house is 700k and I have no family doctor or way of getting one. Where’s the tax money going?
@divineashler

Yes, rrsp is a gov scam. You pull money out, they take taxes right away. Then you have to 'file' to get some of the taxes they stole back. Rich don't have rrsp plans, only working class does. This way rich have control over their money at all times.

Very good interview with a lot of good insights. One point of disagreement. While inflationary, the Trump Covid spending related inflation would have been minimal (because at least to some extent it replaced lost income and, therefore, it didn't increase the money supply), without Biden's grotesque spending and war on fossil fuels, which caused rapid and uncontrolled acceleration of inflation that would still be continuing but for the Fed's rapid and forceful tightening cycle. Much more to say on this subject, but I want to keep this brief.

30 years old with 100K? I am 46 and dont have that. You would need to be earning six figures out of college and live at home to save all that. Basic living costs and taxes shred even a 100K income.. it is only 5K a month after taxes and basic health insurance. Rents are 2K for even a one bedroom, median auto loan is now $760 for a honda accord. Food is rounding $700 plus a month and auto insurance gas.. very tough to save even a few hundred a month. Many of us lost jobs during Covid as well. Only 13% of jobs even pay 100K year.. let alone right out of college. And even that isnt enough to save 100K on in 7 years.

You obviously live in a crazy Blue city. My grocery bill is NOT $700, but I only eat out at reasonably priced restaurants twice a month. That means thinking ahead, planning out what to buy for the week and meal-prep on the weekends. Sounds like you either leased, or bought a new Honda; instead of a good conditioned used car. I'm more than a generation older than you and I've never leased, or bought a new car in my entire life! Excellent, functional used cars can currently be bought for $10K. As far as rent is concerned, if you lived in a nice conservative area, you can rent a very nice 1-bedroom for $1500, and yes, their are plenty of jobs in these areas. Instead of being smart about your expenses, it just seems like you go about buying and renting whatever is most convenient. I'm sure you have your excuses, but that's what they are because other people make it happen on much, much less salary than $100k. If you do make that kind of salary, then think of all you could be saving, if you were savy.

He was 100% wrong about the vax. Ignores India, ignores Sweden. He is insane with regards to medicine and Covid. Idk much about his economics. He seems innumerate wrt his vaccine delusion so I might expect the same, I like finding people whom challenge my views so I won't turn this off just because he's been very wrong wrt to public health.

Taxpayer money given to illegals helping the economy. Why not give it to the taxpayers that are expected to pay the debt. When the free money stops, there will be 10's of millions of people with low skills doing what they need to do to survive.

I listen to every interview I find of Ed Dowd & recommend his book cause unknown… But been following his advice to keep money safe waiting for the giant drop opportunity to “buy in” since several years mow despite the market making significant big gains! Im beginning to doubt Ed Dowd! Traditionally the market goes up after a presidential election & in the mean time Ive missed gains that would have recuperated what was lost in 2020! … I suppose eventually there will be a-big drop. Biggest lesson dont sell after the drop. Wait for it to go up again . Also check out Catherine Austin Fitts !!! Interview her.

In Canada we see the silent progression towards “owning nothing and eating bugs”. Corruption is rife at every administrative level, but WHEN this kicks off, we hope we will have reached that critical 15% of public awareness that will be needed to fight this. Cash/currency/ global governance is all smoke and mirrors…”The Jones Plantation” all over again.
