Just to set the record straight, I took a training class from bear and Refuge Medical his company. Getting to know him and his people I can tell you that he is genuine. Everything you see on his videos is him being genuine with us. He wants us to be prepared. He has an amazing group of people.his trainers and community are awesome. I don’t care what level of preparedness you’re on. Go take class. You will leave with more knowledge than you came with, and you will feel humbled. The man and his team are true to life. I just wanted to share my experience .Bless y’all. Hope you gained a little bit of insight and intel out of that.

Pumps don't flush toilets. Gravity and water does. Pumps are used to fill the water lines. If you put a tank on your roof, or above the level of your house, you can use gravity to fill the lines like a water tower. If you don't have that, not everyone does, then a bucket of water will flush the bowl.
@bobbuhler3753

That is true, but the most common way to move water, especially to elevated tanks, is pumps.

@ronalddaub9740 I agree. We live in a disposable society. People think they could have a dog, man’s best friend, loyal devoted, for years and then just give it away or dump it at a shelter. Animals grieve. And I will never get on anybody’s platform and promote giving your pet away. Unless the friend is dying, there is no reason to not take your pet with you. I actually created a video about this recently called animals and pets in distress.

I don't judge. My sister lived in Nebraska, not near any family. She had to move into elder care and shortly into hospice. She did find a family member to travel to get her dog , but for a while, she thought it wasn't going to happen. She died within 6 months of the health issue.

Love Bear independent. Very good information there. Plus, he does a lot of great things for our country during emergencies. He's been to several states after tornadoes and helped clear land and rebuild homes. All on their own dime and donation. He also has Kalob house for people who have been trafficed. It's all donations from the community, not the government. He helps kids and others to get better and help them re-enter the world after such horrific things that's been done to them. No matter how long it takes. So, like his personality or not. Don't judge. They're all great at Bear independent. The best you could hope for are these folks on your side. They came to Florida after Hurricane Idalia. They just show up! Plus alot of great content on the show!

I always tell people the Boy Scout moto "Be prepared" came about long before prepping as we know it today. You can loose power from a storm, an accident or an act of terrorism. I will add that if you send that dog at that age to a shelter it will likely not get adopted since so many people like your friends are abandoning their animals. It will eventually be unalive because they need to make room for more. And don’t ask me how I know. I’ve been doing this a long time.

Most rural people in the south have wells. To survive, figure out how to get water from your well right NOW then, consider adding rain barrels and/or a swimming pool to water your animals and gardens. Get a woodstove and plenty of wood. Add an electric saw that can be charged by a solar generator when you run out of gas OR hand tools such as saw, axe, maul. We lived before electricity and we can also live without it. It just wont be as convenient.

People quit using fire & cast iron pans. This November everyone should be prepared for possible out breaks of violence!!! It is probable that in 4 month's USA may be a different place😮!!!

Among the most important things that you or anybody else in this area can do is to make people think in a logical way about what will happen if a particular bad event occurs, and how to work around it. Our ability to think and to recognize patterns and to plan ahead is what distinguishes us from the animals. Enjoy your time off and, as a regular viewer of Bear’s channel, thanks for mentioning him and posting that link.
