Thanks for sharing Ashlyn, no fun working in the mud but that’s just part of being a dairy farmer. Thanks Tony and Ashlyn for all the hard work you do 👍

Watching you walking around in all that mud reminds me of how fun spring can be. With more snow storms forecast for us this weekend I can honestly say, I am ready for it. Could it be possible the noisy calf was just asking for a belly rub?

SmartASH! Got the tired vibe going on.....I can relate. Got it all done though👍. You know how you get a sore in your mouth and you can't quit poking it with your tongue, even though it hurts allot? I'm missing the screech monster hutch cleaner kind of like that🤣😂. 💯On the witty remarks......that calf though....she gonna be a bossy cow. Really great video tonight, needed the chuckles. Wondering though.....throwing giant straw flakes over the new hutch gates? 🤔 You gonna be sooo ripped 💪💪💪. Must be emoji night lol. Fun seeing it all come together, thanks for the video, take care brother.

New barn looks nice Ashlyn. Glad you wont bang your head as much...lol...also, good job on cleanout of old "apartments"! Do you ever use lime before you put down new bedding...for the calfs? That Makita needs to turn red...just sayin'....Thank ya'll for dairy farmin', fixin', feedin' and re-apartmenting...🇺🇸...?!?!!

They do use lime. If I am not mistaken, they mix it in when he goes thru with the woodchuck attachment.

Ashlyn, what’s the purpose of those 4x4’s in the hutches? Just to prevent the bedding from coming out as far? Like I said before, I worked on a dairy farm and of course their were calves, but no where near the volume that you guys raise. That one calf sure was funny haha. Thanks! Great video.

Yeah so that is the purpose of the design. Doing that allows us to scrape the lower part of the hutch. But looking back we wish we would have just build a level hutch like the new Calf Barn we built.
