Dry ice sandblasting and no need to remove bearings and rubbers. Its much more delicate and focused.

Dry ice blasting doesn't really remove the rust, it just cleans the parts. I've already used dry ice blasting on my car and it worked brilliantly on some parts, but unfortunately not really on the corroded front suspension.

That is one big spoiler!! Really intrigued to see how this is going to all come together. Also... it amazes me how complex it is under the front clam, all those pipes and radiators.

Got to say I agree with you, think of all the clever engineers at Lotus who not only design it to work reliably, but also to be able to be produced and assembled on a production line, and serviced when required.

Great progress George, are your brake discs on the right way? at 8.26 it looks as if the vanes in the ventilated disc are pointing backwards, so this should be on the off side. I made this mistake on my Elise Motorsport project

I think your "Liquid Yellow" color looks very nice. I don't understand why you would want to switch to purple rain color. Did you get your car painted in "Liquid Yellow" or was it from the factory?

Dry ice blasting and sand blasting are different things. I've already tried dry ice blasting and didn't have much success on the really rusty parts.

I would find replacement bearings only and just blast them off with Sand blaster but use a cheap material like walnut or something

I've actually already tried dry ice blasting on my car on the front wishbones and it didn't really work unfortunately. Sand blasting will be ideal, but it's a big job to get all the parts off the car, so I'll do it at a later date.

Have you seen the service i do for the wishbones? Complete strip, down zinc and passivated really good finish and durable! For all new components and the service you would probably be looking at ~ £1000 all told.

Party garage! Seems a waste not to do it whilst access is available and the car is off the road. If you trying to punt the car off then spray/brush the arms...

I decided to just paint the suspension parts, but will redo them properly when required in a year or two :)
