For the heat issue, it seem that the only opening in the front of the car is this little mouth at the bottom of the front bumper, I'd recommend either drill some big fucking holes in the bumper or getting an aftermarket one to allow more air to pass through. I would also think that a hood with vents (not scoops, but vents) would be a good idea to allow the hot air to escape out the top (hot air rises). That alone should definitely help with the heat issues
@BenBRogue
10 жыл бұрын
Should maybe do hood lifters or some custom cowling at the firewall to pull the air out from under the hood
@Nozerone
10 жыл бұрын
A vented hood would make a huge difference. Not only will it allow heat to rise up off the engine, but the wind going in through the opening in the bumper, together with the wind flowing over the hood will help to actually suck much of the heat out of the engine bay.
@MisterNBG

@TassieLorenzo

Ben B. Rogue You can't pull air out of the engine bay there (at the bottom of the front window)........ That spot is suited for intakes! The pressure difference is all wrong, that's a high pressure location. Bonnet vents are best located a 1/3 or 1/2 up the bonnet from the front of the car. :)

Carbon Bonds Meh, Tires should be considered when you start breaking traction. This car never had a lot of torque to begin with to break traction with the stock setup so tires and clutch should of came right after the turbo install where it would be breaking traction.

Run 30/70 coolant water with "water wetter" or equivalent product, then you'll get quite a few more degrees of cooling out of just the liquid. Maybe a fan upgrade? Or you could create a funneling box to make more air travel directly over the radiator, possibly opening the radiator slot in the front bumper too.

That miata is way above $1500 now..., if you take into account the time and effort you and your connections have put into that miata, its gone way above what most people could do on what you consider a budget, plenty of people prefer to go out and simply buy a better quality base built car like and S2000 and track it, i would also put my money on the S2000 massively outlasting that miata before having do repairs and replacements..I personally have a full track built Integra type R and its cost me $12k all up including the original cost. i race competitively. i have put alot of effort in myself so i am speaking from experience, not just a keyboard warrior here.

Kinda pisses me off how Marty hates on Hondas so much and thinks his Miata is better than a freakin S2000! If your car can't beat the s2000 stock, and still can't beat it when you modify it it's not better... ever. An FC3S would have been a better competitor.

That isn't the point. Marty's trying to show that the MX5 is a more affordable sports car. Which it is (in my opinion). Because even with all of the factory + aftermarket mods he's installed, it still costs less than the s2k. Which is so widely dubbed to be such an affordable sports car. That is the main premise of this feud. Which is why he keeps repeating how much he payed for it. And even still, he came to an almost dead tie with the s2k in one of the races. The other races, his clutch was disassembling itself lol. Anyway, my best friend drives an s2k (AP2) and it is quite the machine :) never knew anyone with a miata though.. But hey to each his own :)

Even with mods, the mx5 is still a lot cheaper than the s2000, so price to power wise the mx5 is technically better...

Another great video, as usual. However, it would be nice if you turned up the volume on your microphones and lowered the background musical tracks when talking. It's especially bothersome when the music hits those high treble notes. This way, you won't have to compete with the soundtrac. Otherwise, I really enjoy your channel and content.

Anthony Rodriguez Thats because they were aimed at a car that is fun for everyone not just speed demons. They thought of this and put an N/A version of the 323 turbo motor. So if you want a faster car it can handle 3x as much power as stock, can take boost very well stock up to 16 psi, the car also holds a world record for being the worlds best selling two seater sports car. www.guinnessworldrecords.com/world-records/2000/best-selling-car-two-seater-sports Aftermarket parts are everywhere and there is so many of them parts are very cheap. What kind of person looks at a car and says man I don't like it because its not fast never once studying the history of the car, the region it was built in and designed for or the fact even without tons of power it can still beat fast cars at the track by handling like a gokart on rails. Don't mind me though keep hating them it just leaves more for people like me lol

great vid. make the most of those NB calipers and throw on some carbotec XP10s on there. they make a world of difference under braking. also, a plate on top of the radiator to close the gap to the body might help with the overheating. im looking forward to the next video.
