Prepper Basics - Review of the Midland 75-822 40 Channel CB Radio by Throttle Up Prepper!
As you may already know, it is difficult or next to impossible to get people to become a licensed Ham radio, or amateur radio operator. There are a host of reasons why this can be an issue, but the bottom line is that it is an issue. So what to do?
In the prepper community we have a saying...two is one, and one is none! So therefore having redundancy when it comes to emergency communications is a big deal. Yes, I have a Ham radio license and utilize it as part of my emergency preparedness plan. I also have CB, or citizens band radios at the ready. This is undoubtedly a much easier proposition when it comes to getting the others in the prepper group ready!
Check out my MIXED review on this product. The Midland 75-822 definitely works and I like it. I do have one issue with it and just received a replacement for it from amazon! Even the second one has a similar issue to the first. Midland customer service seems to be great and is ready and willing to make it right. I just need to send it in and wait a week!
