She was adamant in the sequel that the child wasn't with dad for the entire spring school semester but she readily admitted that here, then tried to nitpick over the exact number of months when she realized how bad that sounded. Very interesting to know that mom had heard all of the information *from a judge* about her sending the child out of state and to a third party being against the order and the child would need to come back to Michigan, yet still did not have the life skills to know she should get an attorney to plead her case at the subsequent hearing. Nor did she or grandma gather any specific evidence or develop specific plans if they lost their case at the hearing. To me that is another good reason to remove custody from mom. Good parents make plans for various contingencies in life to make sure their kids are okay. I wonder if the attorney was prepared to raise that issue but held back because he saw the mom's chaos made it unnecessary to do so.
@stoneysdead689
Жыл бұрын
No- it was when she realized it was 6 months- because she knows that's a magic number that allows you to claim the child on your taxes. She didn't object until the judge said it was 6 months, and then she conveniently remembered it was May not June- 5 months. Just short of enough time to claim her- what a kwinky dinky huh? She throws a fit in the next hearing and just out right tells the judge "No, my mother is going to claim her..." - but the judge is like "No, she's not Mr. Franks is going to claim her." And you can see how much it gets to her- she just about has a meltdown- it's obvious who gets to claim the child is a big deal to her and her mother. I imagine because she probably told her mother that would be her payment for taking care of the kid- the ability to claim her on her taxes. If you'll remember in 2020- 2021 because of covid you could get like 3Gs per child back on your taxes. That stopped i think in 2022 but they had no way of knowing that- they fully expected to claim her and get that cash. Just like they were taking child support payments from dad while he was taking care of the child.
@GlamorganManor

I think a major point here is she would rather send the child to florida where neither of them can see her than give the father custody where both of them could see her. This is despite the fact that she and the child have lived with him or his parents for at least 2 years and the father had her for 6 months…… any bets on wether she has passed the child support to grandma? I'm not taking THAT bet my friend. And THAT is one of the myriad of reasons that she sent her to grandma. That and SPITE and not wanting to pay more support to her. My kids say that and my answer wasn't to send them off it was "well I LOVE YOU and that's ok, u can be mad at me" cause usually if they said that to me it was cause they misbehaved. 🤷 This lady has no business procreating....hope she is sterilized...

@@bekkiwampler9016 agreed. Honestly, if your kids don’t claim to hate you at least once you probably aren’t doing a good job parenting. Being reminded of how good my life could be made be extremely bitter and resentful towards her. Women might have a good amount of control over the courts, but your children watch every single thing you do, what you say, and when they're old enough to realize you're lying about someone who loves them more than you seem to, you'll never be able to fix what you've broken. Well, and prior to the child living with dad for 6 months (despite moms claims that dad was somehow unsafe), MOM lived at dad’s parents’ house WITH THE CHILD, when the parents weren’t even in a relationship. Sounds like the “disappearing act” was mom withholding the child, not dad “disappearing”. Sounds like when dad HAS tried to get more custody, he’s then been punished by the courts with supervised parenting time (magically with NO CAUSE listed). This has literally been my life through the “family” courts. It’s crazy.

He also did a common sense thing: Unlike the mother who tried to solve things on her own without even the least of knowledge of the law, he got counsel, and Mr. Gould did his job well and so much more. Note also the attitude of both: The father sits there paying attention, lets his attorney do the talking (and the attorney makes notes when required) while responding to the questions directed to him by the judge in a calm but secure attitude, but the mother is just sitting there on her own, being disrespectful and delusional as the judge noted.

My only hesitation was right at the end when he said he struggled to find time to call his daughter because he worked too much. I understand working a lot and needing to work a lot, but does he really think that it's going to be less of a time requirement if his daughter is in his primary custody? That really gave me pause. Call her during your dinner time every night or something. Four times in three months?

My parents separated before I was born. My mom had primary custody. I rarely talked to the other parent on the phone when I was at the other one’s house. I don’t understand why she thinks that’s a sign of a good mother/parent. I’m sure my parents had disagreements but I never knew about them. I, then and now, have a great relationship with both of them. I hope this little girl gets the support she needs and her mom realizes she needs to do what is best for her daughter.

In my case (many years ago) there were police reports, phone records, neighbor and pastor testimony and other proofs that supported my claims, v. just yelling and screaming about him being a bad dad...and horrible human:) This woman refusing to answer the lawyer was very uncool. If her med issues are real, she should briefly explain to prove credibility. Bet her "surgery" was for a hangnail:) Thank you, needed to vent!

I empathise with dad so much. They're winning and win the next hearing but they look so sad. Because they're fighting for the child, who is hurting by the mother's actions. Mother does not want the child and can not care for the child. Just does not want the father to have the child and is crying because dad gets to get to see his kid. Through men's courses, have found this is so heartbreakingly common.
