Great video, I have one question Did you use any proportion rule to set the size of the header area or was it arbitrary?

Thanks. A bit of mix throughout the examples. We find that with presentations you can be a bit more flexible on the grid as it's pretty dynamic and/or they have to created super quickly, but ideally you'd use proportions for everything.

How did you add that toolbar below the header? Looks handy!

That's the Quick Access Toolbar, and you can find details on it (and download the one we use) here - www.brightcarbon.com/resources/quick-access-powerpoint-toolbar/

How do you create the grid you show at the 3:08 mark?

Go to the slide master view (View > Slide Master) and add gridlines to the slide master (for orange lines on all slide) or each individual layout (for yellow lines on that specific layout). To be honest, it's a pain to do, but if you download the free BrightSlide add-in for PowerPoint, it will allow you to easily set the number of rows and columns, and the size of margins and gutters, and set it all up for you in seconds - www.brightcarbon.com/brightslide/
