Thanks for watching and for the kind words! Much appreciated! As for what to do with your ppt...I haven't seen it, so I cautiously recommend stripping it so you only show a single keyword or short phrase on each slide. No worries about design to muck up otherwise good content. Choose a simple white or black background with a font like League Gothic. It'll look clean and professional and put the focus on your group, not the slides. When is the presentation? Let me know how it goes :)

Thank you for watching and commenting! For you, consider the pain/problems customers most often have with their computers/technology. Your story could be about how you decided to start your business and talk about customer situations you've helped resolve. OR you could start by telling a story about a customer that was similar to whomever you're currently speaking to. You'll need to modify your story to suit your prospect. Focus on them, not you. And check out Pitch Anything!

Great video again, Carl ! :) I think that the best result from the story is when it's not "prepared" especially for the presentation event. For example, today when I started my presentation I used a funny story about a person who I met right before the event. This is from my perspective :) About the question - I want to improve ability that helps me to be more present, calm and connected with the audience. I haven't got enough experience now, so maybe more practice is the answer :)

the presentation didn't go as expected but it wasn't bad either . got a pretty positive response from the audience . your video on facial expressions really helped!!!!.

great videos . i had one thing to ask though , i'm a first year student of a graduate management course and we have our business communication presentations wherein we had to interview someone from a company and make a ppt on the same , the problem here is that the ppt our group has made is not upto the mark , soo , my question is how can one give an effective presentatn even though the slide show sucks(literally). sorry for such a long questn. :). thanks and keep up the good work.

i' m thinking of making it more interactive next time , like involving the audience more .But the problem is that after seeing the graphs and pie-charts, they start to drift off. On top of that we also have a time constraint of twenty minutes.

A very amazing technique for creating curiosity among the audience that's the wonderful idea but what if our story dosen't relate to our topic of presentation ?

Great question. Your job is to find a story that can relate to your topic; otherwise, it's not the right story.

Thank you very much, very practical. I just have 1 more question, is it a good way if we start the presentation with a common story but we look it at a diffirent way ? Thank you

Absolutely you can do that! To a certain degree, you just have to try and see what happens. It's kind of like a stand up comedian. You learn how to do it better from doing it and noticing the reaction and taking feedback. So try that and let me know what happens. Good luck!

Thanks for sharing my video. Glad you like it. The main thing is to focus on what the audience would like to hear. Start with something of interest to your audience to get their attention. Good luck!
