Preservatives are slow poison for us. For example, tomato ketchup; shelf life of homemade tomato ketchup with natural preservative (salt, jaggery) is 15 days to one month (provided it's refrigerated). But commercial tomato ketchup shelf life is from 6 months to one year.
The golden question is how?
Today’s preservatives are very strong they can make tomato souse like a rock.
