Cute tour of yesteryear’s lifestyle. Reminds me of a gentler time when kids roller skated down the sidewalk, family gatherings, catching lightening bugs in the backyard, skipping rope, playing hopscotch, jacks and marbles, bicycle riding. Days when children didn’t fear playing outdoors. When guns and drugs weren’t in our neighborhoods. Thanks for taking me down memory lane. 🏡

Good evening Dave & Bella!!! What a great video and thank you so much for that wonderful tour of the trains and that “Town” of Antiques. There’s nothing more enjoyable and relaxing than by taking a step back in time where life was far more simple and less complicated. People had fewer worries and I’d give anything to go back in time and live life just as they did. Looking forward to seeing what exciting & new adventures await you ,Bella and The Bounder on the road that lies ahead !! Be safe and until next time later 🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂👍👍👍👍👍👍many thumbs up

I grew up in a Spartan trailer. I'm 68. From my birth until I was 9 my mom and dad and my 3 brothers lived in it. I had pictures of it. My dad said it was 32 feet. He traveled for work and moved it from trailer park to trailer park. I think 90 percent of campers today are bigger than it was. I know they are fancier. My dad bought some property and got a 10 x 50 trailer. It had 1 big bedroom and 2 bunkrooms. My brothers and I thought we had moved into a mansion. Good times!!

That's our Dave and Bella, always exploring the history of our country through its almost-forgotten relics left behind by those that blazed the trails leading to the old west! I love these types of videos Dave, they are very informative and peaceful, thank you for taking the time to film these historic sites and sharing them with us. I heard you mention that you are a mechanical engineer in your live stream a few days ago (I'm John in Tucson) and I kinda figured that was the case since you can work primarily from the road, and you have a keen mind, always looking back at old mechanical devices/systems and explaining what their purpose was in your videos. Very cool! I went to university to become an Architect (back in the late '70s) and despite my lifelong desire to become an Architect, I simply couldn't get my head wrapped around all of the math involved in the job, so that was the end of that. Bleh! If I trip over any extra $$$ before your next live stream, I'll be happy to help contribute to the class C fund if I can, it sounds like a wonderful idea and I can't wait to see which RV you end up with! Cheers to you and the ever-beautiful Bella.

That was a real treat seeing the tour you did and those neat old houses brought back memories for me too of relatives homes up north when we used to visit on holidays when I was kid. The automated audio tour would be better if it was a button to push for those who want to learn about what they are seeing so that way it doesn't jolt a person out of their skin when it suddenly comes on. Dave if you have good video but the audio is bad you might consider doing a voice over and explaining what happened in beginning of video so if anyone don't like voice overs they can skip that video. I think voice overs once in awhile are better than no video at all of a place you visited and wanted to share. You asked what is the difference in a church and a chapel, although both are houses of worship, a church has a priest or pastor and a permanent congregation, but a chapel doesn't have a pastor or priest and does not have a permanent congregation. Those wagons you mentioned hauling borax made me want to tell you about 20 Mule Team Borax that I buy regularly. I know you like history so thought you would like some history on the story behind the name 20 mule team Borax www.20muleteamlaundry.com/history/

Nice video Dave. I"m with you, I hate those automated tours. I haven't been out to the CC Museum in years, so many in fact the trees have all grown big. That property use to be a casino. I can't remember the name of it but it was built like an old fort. It was torn down to make the museum. I am so tired of everything being closed. I think we all are. I have taken the train ride in Boulder City with my grandkids. It was fun but didn't go very far. I hope you are off to exciting adventures. Thanks for sharing....

I actually got to travel on a steam train several times as a child. My grandmother used to take me from home in Nova Scotia to Montreal and Ontario to visit relatives. There was a hand car accident in our yard one night , they had just started putting little engines on them and we lived at the end of a line. Where the rails ended there was a big metal barrier to stop anything coming there. It was about 2 in the morning when there was a big crash , Dad went running outside to see what happened and found the crashed handcar and an injured man who had been running it. He’d had a few sips too many to keep him warm and fell asleep, he was headed out of the city to check on the rails and went way past where he was supposed to be. Buddy got fired.
