He's one of us, and even more, he's not one of them. I've said it before and I'll say it again: it doesn't matter what ideas he has or what direction he wants to go. But God I love his laser focused stubborn sensibilities.

What kind of country will we leave our children? I can answer that one. A country that doesn't give science and education any respect or glorification. A country that lives for the moment and doesn't look or plan into the future. A country that has divided itself from the rest of the world. We have set ourselves up for colossal failure, purely out of spite.

+Brenton Hobson: "hes already signed bills to open more jobs for women with stem degrees. you must hate America." That would be impressive, given the 115th Congress hasn't actually written, never mind passed a single Bill. Or did you just skip basic Civics back in primary school?

This was so strange, from beginning to end, how the whole thing was conducted, super cringy, really archaic and cheesy.

Nah i dont hate the guy, i simply observe his actions and am critical of a lot of what he says, but my original post wasn't necessarily about Trump, it was just about the way the whole address was conducted.

Oh I've already become somewhat desensitized to a lot of super cringy and cheesy rhetoric from Trump and his cabinet, so I'm already kinda used to it, wish i weren't though.

I like Trump, but the 'politicking' is so tiring. Each whole phrase has 'clap, clap, clap'.

As an independent, I believe what I said was an honest open comment. I thought the speech was good, but his usual rambling doesn't show him to be an affective leader. I think when it comes down to it, the "say what I will, do what I want" attitude gets old quickly. I didn't support Clinton or Trump in the election but We will see. I always hope for the best for the leaders of our country, but his performance so far to me is a mixed bag. And as coal and oil profits have dropped considerable, I find his support of oil pipelines disturbing. That being said, unlike the previous troll, I thought the speech was good and long overdue

I'm an American, who has lived 35 years in Germany. Former military officer and writer. Considering all the negative press that Trump has gotten across the board in Germany and Europe, I was expecting something completely different from him. This was an amazing speech -- the best I have ever heard from an American president. I'm certain that an American president would never stand in front of congress and tell lies that could bring him down. It is clear that his motives are pure and that he truly does want to see America become what I remember from my youth. I hope that he is able to carry through on his promises and that he is viewed differently here in Germany than he was during his presidential campaign. If so, he will be the greatest president America has had in many decades.

I'm very glad to see almost everyone in the building stand up for vets. Glad to find something the room was almost 100% on board with. Hopefully we can build on that in the coming years.

One and only USA POTUS, Trump has worked truly for American First so far. We all surrounded by me terribly miss him and his effective peaceful negotiations with EU, Middle East, even N. Korea, and Russia. If Trump were in WH now Putin wouldn't attack Ukraine.
