The more videos I watch, the more i getting confused. Some use mats, some dont. Some have the slate face up some face down. Yours work fine.

Adjust to what you are comfortable with that’s what I do, I have never used the mat, never pre pressed the slate and sometimes I leave the image side faced up and others I put it down.

These come pre-coated. You can get them from I get mine from JDS.
