I purchased this last September 14, 2019. It looks good as new. The waffles come out beautiful and are done in 4 minutes each. I use my own recipe from pinterest, light and fluffy buttermilk pancakes, don't use cooking sprays and have never had a problem with them sticking. Clean up has been easy, just cool down and wipe. Was this my first choice? No it wasn't, I was replacing a waring pro. Am I disappointed with the flip? I'm quite pleased with it and it doesn't take up as much space as my waring pro did. I would definitely recommend this product.

I fill mine all the way up to the edge. All the way around then I put the lid down. Let it cook for 2 and a 1/2 minutes. And then I flip it for another 2 and a 1/2 minute. I don't flip mine right away. I have a plastic Drinking cup that is pretty big with a lid. And I make a batch of it. Pour it into my drinking container. And then when I want to make a waffle? I just poured out and use it the next day what is left over. It's nice to have it pre made whenever you want a waffle. But I wouldn't store The batter for more than two days.

I love mine its so easy no settings for crispness it just does what it is suppose to do. Only thing I dont like about it is the timer is ran by a battery and the moisture from the seam when you flip the waffle gets all over that area. I had a cuisanart (not sure if im spelling it right) Heavy.bulky and the teflon which I didnt like about it did wear off after a few years of much use.I paid about the same but even though this one feels cheaper its quality in all the right places and lighter. The thing that holds the waffle maker up is a cheap piece of plastic flap but it does the job. I just hope I never break that piece.Both of my waffle makers were able to stand up out of the way and that is a nice feature to have.

Yes, there is a slight difference in the amount between dry and wet. Usually the 'liquid measure' is sold in some sort of pitcher form with a spout Pyrex or Anchor makes some {I prefer the Anchor brand it pours easier}, and the 'dry measure' usually is sold in the form of various different sized cups which next inside of each other.

nice to see basic use of a waffle maker. What is with the angst over making a waffle these days. I'm almost 60 and made waffles on my own at 7yrs old. it's not rocket science. People need to stop being afraid to do things...you know like inhale and exhales without a coach. So buy a waffle maker and enjoy it don't make it a stressed filled agonizing decision/process. As this review shows its one of the best home use waffle makers out there so buy it, use it and enjoy it...worst you'll do is have an undercooked or a burnt one now and then...but life will not cease if it happens. I've got celiac so I use a variation of the bread recipe I came up with for my bread maker. It's altered only slightly. I'm using sorghum flour, almond flour, tapioca flour, sometimes buckwheat flour for more texture and adding in some xanthan and guar gums to add elasticity. Of course add a bit of vanilla to create richness and the other basics like baking powder & and salt. Toss in some pre-toasted nuts or fruit once batter has rested to allow baking powder to work then just experiment you'll have a lot of fun. Same recipe works for pancakes too...or when I'm. lazy and feel. cavalier about my stomach that day, grab some Krustez's Buttermilk per-made mix cuz it's the best stuff!

I just bought this waffle maker and finding the results depends on your recipe. I'd like to know what your recipe is. The "basic" recipe that comes with this waffle maker isn't very good - bready and caused the waffle iron to separate a lot as the batter rose.

Hi Ronald, glad you liked the review. The recipe from the booklet is great! The pour mix lasts 3 days in the refrigerator after opening. Warm up the frozen waffles in a toaster oven or regular oven at 350 degrees fahrenheit. Hope that helps. Please subscribe if you haven't already :)

Mine don't turn out anything like yours. I used the Classic Waffle recipe but mine are not crispy like that, they end up sort of grey and sad. At 4 minutes there is still tons of steam coming out, it takes a good six minutes to get something "crispy" but by that time the inside is really stiff and not at all like yours. Any tips?
@bestkitchenreviews

Hi Jason, was it preheated....before you poured the batter? Unless the recipe was changed in some way, I really can't think of any reason it wouldn't come out well.
@bearded4glory809

bestkitchenreviews yes it was on while I measured and mixed the batter. It seems like your sizzled when you first put the batter in mine sure doesn't maybe it is just defective. Did you add all the liquid to the dry ingredients? My batter is more runny maybe it is just too wet? Thanks for the help, I need crispy waffles!
@bestkitchenreviews
7 жыл бұрын
Yes, mine was extremely hot when I poured the batter. My batter was also thick and not runny - I followed the recipe exactly. You could try resting the batter for 5 minutes after you finish mixing it. I'm guessing the light went out after heating up? That's the sign that the unit is ready to use. If you think the unit is not heating up properly, I would exchange it. Hope you get crispy waffles soon :)
@bearded4glory809

I just checked and mine gets to around 400 degrees so that seems hot enough. The only other difference is that you used oil while I used cooking spray, I am going to give the oil and shot and see if that helps. Thanks so much for the responses. About ready to just buy a different iron but if I don't have to even better.

Hi Susan, here is the recipe: 2 cups all-purpose flour 1¾ cups milk 1 tablespoon sugar 2 eggs 1 tablespoon baking powder 2 tablespoons vegetable oil ¼ teaspoon salt Combine flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in large bowl. Whisk milk, eggs, and oil in medium bowl. Whisk milk mixture into dry ingredients just until dry ingredients are thoroughly moistened. Preheat waffle maker. Pour 1 cup batter onto the center of the bottom grid. Close top and flip waffle maker. Bake until brown, about 4 minutes Generally, a thinner batter makes crispier waffles, also making sure the waffle iron is very hot before pouring the batter. Buttering the iron before pouring the batter also helps :)
