Chrissy is truly a timeless voice like fine wine just gets better with time! What a moving beautiful song with a lovely string section. Can't wait to hear the new album relentless! Truly the last of the great rock bands of our time. Been a fan since the first album that my family had on vinyl and would listen to it all the time. Keep rockin' Chryssie!! 🤘 No signs of slowing down 45 years later wow!! 👏👏

Was in to the Pretenders big time from the start and right up through the 80's. I then kinda lost track ,got seats in block "A" at Wembley Arena in the mid 80's or there abouts, I used to visit my late mate Robo in Maida Vale , i lived in Woking but the Warrington became my local. Those were great days in London. real good energy, even saw Lou Reed on the Palladium, something else ! This sounds great and I must check out the Dylan covers and her Jazz. Chrissie always knocks me out.

Can Chrissie Hynde GET any better? I virtually walked into her a while back - waiting for the tube. Made eye contact but thought better of speaking - worried she might tell me to bugger off! - worried I’d just gush all over her! She’s bloody brilliant.

I was in my prime A lucky dog was I Everything was going my way The apple of many's eye I took my chances, and I won I gambled and stayed ahead I never once looked back or had my fortune read Now I think about you daily But it only makes me sad Things that got away I treated you real bad Now each morning when I wake up It's you that's on my mind You never can get over Losing those you did unkind I think about you daily Time is like a hammer It comes slow, then comes fast And things that are too delicate Are never gonna last The time you took from me I never saw it enter Too distracted by a pretty face I lost you and my center Think about you daily But it only makes me sad Things that got away I treated you real bad Now each morning when I wake up It's you that's on my mind You never can get over Losing those you did unkind I think about you daily So let it go and move on down That's my advice to me But I never could take good advice It was ne'er my cup of tea I'll have to live with knowing You never knew how much I saw you like a rock, I couldn't move or touch Now I think about you daily But it only makes me sad Things that got away I treated you real bad Now each morning when I wake up It's you that's on my mind You never can get over Losing those you did unkind I think about you I think about you daily

I went back to figure (ice )skating in my 50s- this video shows an old guy going back to ballet- skills that were so easy then r not today. But the fact my body can still balance on a thin metal blade across the ice gives me joy. I perceive this song about my recent dead dog. 17 years of hiking w her. Getting into near deaths with her! And sad that any new dog now I would not be able to be as athletic So i think about the loss of companionship and capabilities i had.

The first thing I thought when I heard this song was that Chrissie's voice sounds AMAZING. It gave me chills. The second thing I thought was that it sounded like a Radiohead song and, if Thom Yorke sang it, it would easily belong on Kid A. Then, I did some research and one of the Radiohead guys actually played on the song 😱👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
