Also, yes. Women with curvier bodies are certainly faced with a lot of misconceptions and stereotypes. Can’t deny that. But a pretty face? Love, just don’t be a woman. That’s the first point of this perceived prejudice.

The whole last part of the videos 👏🏾 I refuse to believe these women can be that willfully obtuse. Theyre listing things that happen to them as if regular and 'ugly' women dont get followed, harassed, graped. The difference being they, on top of that, lack the little bit of protection beauty might have provided them when they come forward. Imagine being assaulted and then mocked, ridiculed and discredited because of your looks. But sure, crying in your mirror asking God why he had to burden you with such beauty is also very sad I guess? Im rarely trying to invalidate people's feeling but I'm gonna need them to look outside of themselves. Maybe that way of centering the world around yourself and your perceived beauty, and thinking the world does too, is the reason for some your problems. And jumping to the conclusion that everyone is jealous of your beauty stoos you from analyzing if maybe your personality stinks, or maybe you did make a mistake in that moment

❗Crying about being beautiful is a tad too dramatic. Plus it can easily be fixed if it was such a burden.

18:00 100% agreed... I have the 'big butt' that all the girls are in the gym fighting for (but found gross just 10+ years ago mind you)and all my life it has been a challenge to be taken seriously because of the shape I was born with. My wardrobe is exclusively to cover my butt cause I hate the attention. It sucks too because there's an automatic assumption that you're promiscuous or easy. But this 'it's hard being pretty in the face' thing?" Please. Ask them if they'd have it any other way, and they'll absolutely say no.

Hard agree. Still waiting for a unique experience that only pretty women face and not just every women. Even girls that are too petite have their own unique struggles. But chalking it up to being 'too pretty' is delusional.

The woman in braids is off her rocker. Generally speaking there are way more benefits that come with being pretty than if one wasn’t. I have a friend who tried to get a few jobs in california..he has been quite overweight his whole life. He has a pretty attractive face-but even with that said, no one would hire him because of his weight. And he’s not even that overweight! His body continued to be Well proportioned and again he is definitely not a bad looking dude. Yet-there was definitely discrimination there. Needless to say he moved back to his home state and said things seemed less discriminatory there. Anyway that is one example of how looks and perceived attractiveness can affect many facets of one’s life. I will say this though…when I was in my 20s I guess you could say I was considered pretty attractive. I would get followed, stalked, etc. When I hit my mid 30s however all of that stopped. I probably only received maybe 1% of the attention I would get before. I guess I was no longer considered all that attractive to males. But here is the kicker…my older age DID give me feel a sense of relief, and still does to this day (41 now). People don’t pay attention to me, I’m just an ordinary person now, and honestly I prefer it that way. It definitely does feel safer to me-but I have to remind myself ALL types of people get abducted and murdered, irrespective of looks. But if someone were to ask me would you have traded the fleeting thoughts of fear you had in your 20s, to look more “average”? I would say no. The ONLY thing I think anyone would trade their good looks for is for good health. Health and staying alive is always number one. Perhaps also money and intelligence would be up there for some as well. We live in a very superficial world though. I think looks matter way more than people realize.

I was genuinely confused when I saw the video of the woman in braids talking about how pretty hurts on Twitter. Are they serious????? Beauty is the biggest social currency there is. A person will instinctively be treated better because they are attractive, especially women. Then imagine a woman that is not “considered attractive” daring to be confident. Yes o, a certain demographic loves to tear down any woman, but it is 100 times worse if that woman is not considered attractive. I started asking myself whether I was invalidating the people crying that they are burdened by their beauty but Lol. Miss me Abeg.

Lmaooo. It's like someone complaining that it's hard being wealthy because they can get robbed. It's simply too tonedeaf and borderline delusional.
