This band made me realise, I don't have to play rock or grunge or metal, I can play anything that I like all at once. Forever grateful for that lesson! 🙏

Many won't realize but the fact that Pride and Glory wasn't such a big band is because people always want to hear the same thing all the time, and Zakk Wylde just hits different! And for that time, we've never heard anything since Hendrix, Van Halen, Malmsteen and all, and all, and all. One of the best musicians of all time! ❤❤❤❤

@@yourdrummer2034 Zakk joined earlier than 88', his wife came a street over me and he came about a half mile from us all. He taught my 2 brothers on the guitar and my first time meeting him inside my parents house back in 86' not too long after that he left to audition for the vacant spot that Jake E Lee was fired from. My last time meeting Zakk was in the summer of 88' a couple houses before his soon to be wife. My older brother and I BS'n with him. Those 2 albums Pride n Glory and Book of Shadows are mine fav from him especially Machine Gun Man. I don't care to much of BLS. Rock On!

HOLY "F" I did not know this Freaking Monster existed till a month ago. Haha I've been playing every damn time I get the chance to crank it up to very high decibels. I have never seen anything like this. Dude is running around doing jump splits power stances singing his ass off all the while playing some of the hardest bad to the fucking bone guitar licks grooves and everything else is so over the top that he makes it all work like they had to practice these sets day after day. Dude has got to be in fucking shape to do this in the first place. Haha I get bitched at from people I live with cause I'm singing this shit all the time loud as I can. Yeah now I got the raspy voice. I don't care I just love the massive amounts of raw power that zakk tichy an bass player put out there. Killer Killer stuff. Got to thank you Sir very much for posting the greatest bad ass video of Zakk an Pride an Glory

@@DaveReedom these days I feel you're lucky not to be American. I may be wrong as well. Brian has played with many, many bands. I know Greg was the drummer for some time. Also James was their bass player. It is possible that Brian played for a bit instead of Greg. Zakk does go thru musicians quite a bit.

James Lomenzo on bass was in White Lion, and is the current (October 2023) Megadeth bass player And Brian Tichy on drums has played with many groups ( Billy Idol for one) currently drumming for the Dead Daisy's as well as several other groups.. This album and band were a huge part of my musical upbringing because of how killer they were live and the album I had to buy several times wearing it out every time!

I never cared much for his vocals but you can tell he puts his heart and soul into them, so much so it gets to be a little too much imo lol..BUT... His playing back in this era is ungodly. Zakk is a very physical player and you can hear it plain as day in his youth compared to his post 2000 stuff. His choice of notes were a lot more colorful back then. I consider the early to mid 90's to be his prime without a doubt. That may be the most intense version of War Pigs I've ever heard anyone play. Zakk was a force of nature back then.
