I'm not sure the original full video link to Dawkins comments deserve the view. I agree with Fr. Dosch in meeting him where he is and helping him to dig deeper in to why he enjoys the Christian culture. However, Dawkins' comments come off like an adolescent who has yet to figure out mortgage, car, food bills, etc won't pay themselves and you have to work to pay them. He benefits from a culture he despises and his own views would bring ruin.

@@michaelbrickley2443 How does that apply to the quote by Dostoevsky? 1st off it is a quote wrongly attributed to Dostoevsky, because he never said it. What the quote implies is that morals are God given, and if God does not exist there are no moral absolutes or anything goes, because nothing anyone does is wrong/immoral. I'm saying even with a moral giving God, that forgives all transgressions, except the rejection of him, a person can transgress, even horribly, and still ask for and be granted forgiveness. What is the difference in a universe void of God and a universe with God (issues free will / moral absolutes / forgives transgressions with conditions) in regards to wrong behavior of an evil human that harms or unlifes other humans? From the perspective of the person receiving the wrong there is no difference between the two universes.

Ahhhhhhh!!!! The worst part of his video is his atheistic philosophy that he claims can replace our religious tradition has given us our current cultural climate and religion is still here! God forbid culture moves further away from religious morality.

England was once a Catholic country until King Henry VIII decided that he knew best and created the Church of England. Henry was then excommunicated by the sitting pope. 😊😊😊

I'm an atheist, not a cultural Christian, who admires the ancient architecture of the Catholic Church. It stops there. I know the history of Christianity, as well as Judaism, and it is terrible. All predicated on a notional idea there is a God and propagated by exploiters. Was any of this religious nonsense necessary? Could humans have done better without it? I don't know. Maybe this nonsense was a necessary step in the advancement of humanity. I believe humans can do better. Richard Dawkins sayin he is a cultural Christian doesn't mean much to me. I know what he means. He is 83 years old, had a stroke a few years ago, and is mellowing out to alleviate any stress in future public speakings. He is scheduled the first week of May to speak with Ayaan Hirsi Ali about her becoming a Christian. I believe his cultural Christian promulgation is a setup for this event.

@@michaelbrickley2443 Known Creator God or is it really Believed Creator God? Knowledge is a justified true believe. Any other belief is just a belief, i.e., some people believe in ET's, Tooth Fairy, Bigfoot, and the moon landing in 1969 was a hoax.
