Works good for passive night vision use. I was skeptical as well when I realized it has NV settings. Tested it out and it is definitely usable.

Great video! I noticed the fisheye thing and you're the only reviewer I've seen mention it. It's not EXACTLY 1X unless you're right on top of the optic. But I don't know if it matters, we'll see.

Glad I found your channel… The reason I clicked was because the prism optics are usually not compatible with a magnifier… One of the questions I’ve had on this new optic is can you? And you’re the first one I’ve seen put a magnifier behind it… So what was the final verdict… I have a Eotech 33, The vortex and a aimpoint..The vortex is my favorite of the three and I am on the list for this optic but the curiosity is killing me did you actually get it to work and work well with the magnifier? If so that’s a game changer in a big way Night vision… to my mind.. this is the Perfect option for night vision… I run and Train with NODS often… Most of that training and practicality is close quarters therefore most of us run close quarters optic, The fact it comes with the high amount is perfect for NODS, We mostly run suppressed 300 blackout for this type of operation, so the acss Reticle And bullet drop compensation is not very relevant to me at least for my application and I think in a one power optic it really isn’t that relevant because it really should be used again in my opinion for 100 yards and in and mostly 50 and in, I tend to believe this was the intent of the design and at that close of a range 1/2 or one MOA Does not really make that much of a difference because the goal is to win the fight, And I’m pretty sure regardless of anything you should easily be able to hit A zone at 50 yards Regardless of 1/2 or 1 MOA..Again this is my opinion but I believe they made it so small and short and light because it should go on a SBR Or a backpack load out. In my experience these weapon systems are used for close quarters I guess the same reason in opposition Is I would not take The nightforce off of my creedmore And put it on my Glock ..you know what I mean? Not you buddy but some of these reviewer’s are dinging This optic for a couple things but it was never designed in my opinion for the things they are giving negative remarks about… Now hey I don’t know Shit about fuck… Just my experience and opinion..

Yes. Works great. My only complaint is the eye box for the VMXt3 is a little tight. No fault of the optic. But I’m also spoiled by my Stiener scope. Lol. Just make sure when you mount, you mount the magnifier first and adjust the diopter for the distance. THEN place the optic in front of it and adjust the diopter on the micro prism. It makes life easier. It works great with the VMX T3 but I can’t speak for other magnifiers as that’s the only one I own. 🤷🏼♂️

This is supposed to be the unicorn right? Lighter than a holographic not have to worry about batteries. A better reticle than a reflex red dot but still about the same weight. Also brighter and lighter than an lpvo and easier to range out on the fly. Thinking this may be the best setup with a 4x Juliet. Wish they included quick detach mount to go to BUIS instead of having to buy the acog mini aftermarket. Only downside I see is no cowitness but mostly never needed due to etched reticle.

You mentioned that it has an auto-off feature, does it also have shake awake? This would be going on my 11.5" AR that I use for home defense and having a shake awake/motion activated on would be a wonderful feature for that application.

Hey dont you have to play with the prism diopter everytime you either decide to use the magnifier or not. I think thats the issue when you pair magnifier with prism scope even though its x1. I'm guessing if you set the diopter for the prism only and then you flip back the magnifier to zoom in the view, that will require changing the diopter on the prism correct? Red Dot and magnifier as combo is a different story
@LoveLikeaHurricane

I have read something of that sorts. You can use magnifier but they did indicate you have to adjust the prism scope.

That I can’t say. The only magnifier I have for reference is the VMX3T. Typically the manuals will say but if it were me, I’d call the manufacturer and see if they are compatible with prism scopes first. It’s hit or miss. Not exactly sure why.
@Flashhood1425

How’s it working with the magnifier? Thanks!
@theuncouthtruth9551
3 жыл бұрын
Excellent!… well … sort of. LOL. The problem isn’t the optic. The VMX 3t magnifier has a REALLY tight eye box. No matter what optic it sits behind. Works great for longer range as it should but I am gonna try and get my hands on an EoTech or Vortex’s newest model micro magnifier. See if those are a bit more forgiving on eye box and relief. The VMX3 is a few years old and a first generation. No doubt the magnifier market has improved a bunch since. Time for an upgrade 👌🏻
@theuncouthtruth9551
3 жыл бұрын
Scratch that on the micro. Apparently it’s incompatible. 🤷🏼♂️ But I have been planning on shopping for a better magnifier for some time. Not that the VMX is bad. It certainly does a good job. But I imagine that there’s plenty better out there now that 4-5 years have passed since it was introduced. Now that I finally have a need to upgrade, the curiosity is killing me. 😁
