The pair instability supernova sounds a lot like a hydrogen bomb if you think of it. You have a sudden inward compression of the star's core causing runaway fusion, same as a series of atom bombs compressing a man-made core until it undergoes runaway fusion. It's like an H-bomb is a mini supernova. Kind of ironic that these supernovae seeded the universe with the elements that let us exist yet we risk destroying ourselves with our own homemade supernovae.

In the process of building a roll back roof Observatory. We were given a great camera that would be way beyond our finances. Due to that and owing the doubles and the 3, 4, 5× magnifies we are going to lay away a 14 or 16" cas so the we have the building built I was able to go 24' down for the pier. Once we get the circuit boards and the scope it will be totally remote can watch on my 55" at home. Still a ways out. Once done I plan to start building a mobile Observatory. I want to be able to set at least 16" cas in it and then take all the tripod units. And once I'm retired we will go to the rural places that the kids don't have anything like that anywhere near. Give them their parents, the whole community, if any are interested a chance to look deep. That is my plan or hope I'm 54 I've got a bit to go before I'll set off on that adventure. But earlier estimates from observations dating back to 2000 placed the star as old as 16 billion years. And this age range presented a potential dilemma for cosmologists. "Maybe the cosmology is wrong, stellar physics is wrong, or the star's distance is wrong," Bond said. "So we set out to refine the distance."" Quote from NASA.gov

Given that WIMPs are looking increasingly unlikely to exist dark stars are looking increasingly unlikely unless whatever dark matter is turns out to have self annihilation properties despite our looking for such signatures and seeing nothing. Surprised you didn't cover the quasi star or other hypothetical projectors for the supermassive hearts of galaxies. Also isn't Uranium only able to be produced by the extreme r process? The work on extreme r process nucleosynthesis suggests only a few phenomenon like the disruption of a neutron star or the formation of a Collapsar www.nature.com/articles/s41586-019-1136-0 Also some other exotic events are responsible for producing other particularly rare elements such as Calcium rich supernovae or the progenitors of phosphorus rich but otherwise extremely low metallicity (Pop II) stars . Plus for elements able to be formed by the slow neutron capture process yu don't need a supernovae you can form them slowly in the shells surrounding the cores of late stage stars such as red giants and supergiants etc..

Who named the 1st stars after the big bang population 3 stars? It is backwards and makes no sense. So the sun is a population 1 star, and the next population become population zero stars and then what population negative 1 stars? So can anyone explain why this backassword number system was adopted?

It makes it accessible and understandable, while also drawing the viewer into the topic.
