This is such a great video. I love the primos sticks but wanted to find a way to have a griping mechanism for rifles. I was researching a way to adapt the bog death grip to the primos tripod but having no luck. This solution is much better.

Great video.... how do the sticks /mount do under recoil of the larger caliber rifle? Great view and exactly what I was looking for..
@GianniG55
Жыл бұрын
Hi James , thanks for checking out the video, the saddle holds up well under recoil because there is that little bit of flex at the top of the trigger sticks it allows the rifle to recoil backward into your shoulder pocket , but because your shoulder pocket is being used to not just steady the rifle your offering it up to the rifle solidly to absorb the recoil and to minimise too much backward motion just as you would a bipod if you see what I mean? you can also check out the video after this one if you like where I also add a ball head to the system you might find interesting, hope it helps cheers G.

Been looking for weeks at different pods primos gen 3 and bog death grip are the two I am now deciding between, until this video, being able to attach a grip such as this which is like that on the bog death grip to the trigger gen 3 has made my decision. Am I correct that you do say the adapter you used to attach the grip comes with the primos trigger gen 3 pod. Great video nice display of the usability
@GianniG55

Hey Magoo ,lol, thanks for checking out the video most appreciated, yes if you buy the Gen 3 trigger sticks they should come with that Camera/spotting scope adapter , I think here in the Uk it costs about £15 but I’m sure it comes in the package, and also the gun cradle comes in 2 sizes this one is the smaller of the too , the bigger one is longer , deeper and has rails on the side if you wish to add accessories and such, but this one suited my needs, also just a quick note something that I didn’t know until I made the video was that on one side one of the cradle the rubber inserts came unstuck which maybe down to weak glue so I did check the others and to be honest the glue wasn’t great but it wasn’t a big deal for me as I just cleaned up the backs of the inserts and then just re-glued them with more powerful glue so don’t know if that would be a deal breaker ? but I’m still very happy that I purchased it , hope this helps cheers G.

@@iantouzel638 Hey no worries, I mean it is well made CNC machined and all that and I guess that does come with a price tag but believe me there are far more pricier options out there and especially when buying a big carbon tripod like some people buy which can easily get over a thousand bucks, I just wanted to get more out of my gen 3 sticks and in a video I did after that one I even added a ball head and really glad I did the whole setup just works really well without spending a ton of money.
