SunMoon From what I experienced you never see the oldness. Children always see the youth or younger parent and the parent always see their baby....age never erases that dynamic. My dad is now 70 and he still cares for me like I'm 12 and not 32. They all might be gray haired and slower paced but they still see each other the same way they did 30, 40 or even 50 years ago.

My mother never had the chance seeing her 7 children grow up, she died a young woman . I bet the Queen is delighted as would my mother be.At 73 years young I became a grandmother 4 years ago.I take care of this beautiful, glorious ,enchanting and sometimes naughty girl full time while my daughter, a single parent works.

I’m in my 60’s. The last of 4 sibblings. 1 older and two younger. Parents died 30 years ago. It’s odd to me to see this family. Maybe we all should have and be treated like we were royals. Seems like they have a long life. Some are in big trouble 👿

When we have our parents, no matter how old they are or how old we are, we feel confident, safer and stronger. We miss them terribly for the rest of our lives when they are gone. This feeling of lonely is only known when it happens to us. 😢

I think the affection changed as Charles grew older and had kids of his own. It is not surprising for a parent and child’s relationship to change as everyone gets older. Also the Royal family themselves have changed too in the years since.
