It's a rare Trainer that can build a Boxer from an untrained beginner to competitive Amateur and then all the way to Professional Champion. The fact that Ingle's gym produced a number of Amateur and Pro Boxing Champions shows that the Ingle's Methods worked and could be adapted to different skill sets and body types. Naz believed his own 'Hype' - which, similarly, I saw later with Amir Khan.

Lotta dogwashers staight up sometimes. I fought a lotta fights just to stay alive in England, in my own mind. Street. What impressed me about this kid is he had the the unusual talent to win in his own way. That has got to take a lot of courage. Despite what the talkers said, this kid may have taken some of the tricks from Brendan somebody, but he also mastered. Give him the credit he is due. BTW if you are going to fight anybody you better be young and in very good shape. Them's the rules. This is the way it works. Unless you are dealing with some old guy whom you are going to fight to get him off you. What I would like to say is that a lot of people on the street are sometimes among the nicest you could meet. Crazy huh? Words are strange, they mean different things to different people at the same time./ Take Mike Tyson and put him up against the Gypsy King and the Gypsy is probably going to win due to the age difference but he will have to be very careful cuz Mike Tyson in his time was the best boxer in the world. Probably ever. So whadda you get from that? I grew up middle class and never wanted to fight anybody. Didn't have any courage either. Fight for what? Tell ya what, It's about respect. I didn't want to be forced to live like a pantywaist. Look like that? Okay, let's go. No, you gotta respect this kid one way or the other.\ It's about live brave or what's the point? Hope I can live up to these words. I remember this Arab kid who got in trouble with the law on an airplane in Eastern Canada being accused of being a terrorist and couldn't defend himself because he couldn't really speak any language at all but when I saw him getting picked up by the law I was pretty sure he was the same decent kid I had known for years and he was not guilty of anything. I knew that. I'm proud to say that I went on the media and defended him. Cuz I knew this kid and if I can't defend him then I can't defend anyone. Cause that is a decent kid and you can't change that.

Money really changed Hamed, and Marco showed us how ordinary he really was without the KO power. He agreed to the 25% split with Brendan, which includes 10% trainers fee and 15% managers fee, which is very reasonable, but then went back on his word and ripped Ingle off for £400,000. Breaking your word shows what type of man you really are. I remember Hamed fleeing like a thief in the night from a car wreck, where he left a couple seriously injured. Lost his MBE because he got prison for fleeing the scene. The guy was a bellend of a man, and those stupid ring entrances. Barrera made him look like an amateur, you see without his power Hamed was very very ordinary. In fact he was off balance 99% of the time with his ridiculous stance. He beat a lot of average fighters in dazzling style, but once he faced the real elite he fell way short. Barrera, Morales, Chavez etc etc were all head and shoulders above the Clown Prince. Hamed is a typical case of his giant ego and massive head getting in the way, he was a legend in his own mind. Ripping the man who made you off, running from almost killing two innocent people through you your own stupidity, these are the things that show the real Hamed.

It's such a shame they never reconciled. I don't blame Brendan, Naz broke his heart. Without picking sides it's a terribly complex situation. You probably could say the book came out through sheer frustration from Brendan because he loved Naz and believed in him so much, and he wasn't training as he should. He wasn't behaving as he should. As a fighter Naz was never my cup of tea. I understand why so many loved him but he wasn't ever my type of fighter.
