Still listening to this legend in 2023 and he still brings joy. Even though I hear the same old jokes year on year, it still makes me chuckle. He never made fun of anyone - only of himself. And THAT is the key to true comedy!

Awesome video. Reminds me of my Mum and Dad. They would tell stories, when Prince Tui Teka would play at the Ellerslie Oaks Pub, in Auckland. Where my Parents both worked. His Charisma, Jokes, just Tui Tekas, Persona. Just a Lovely man, My Mum would say. A kind man, with a Big Heart. He touched alot of True Kiwi New Zealanders, with his Music, and His Lovely voice.

He knew how to do the pubs... back in the day.. brilliantly. I am from Lower Hutt, 1954, but he is in a place I never really new existed. I have looked at this video, many times. Look at those in the background. Utterly astonishing. Not just the crate of Lion Brown, but the study of typical NZ barn drinking. Those were the days.
