I'll answer this question since it's been asked quite a few times over the years I think the most simple answer is that when I was editing this almost 8 years ago, I noticed quite a bit of similarities between James Horner's Braveheart track and Joe Hisaishi's Princess Mononoke and Nausicaa Valley of the Wind's tracks. I urge everyone to listen to their works since I feel like they almost contain the same "genetic" musical information. Anyway, when I put "For the love of a princess" on Princess Mononoke footage, it was kinda like it was meant to be. I feel like it gave a very similar but slightly different flavor to the trailer than just using the Princess Mononoke theme. It was definitely interesting to put something western and eastern together and have it meld so seamlessly. Also you can't deny the title of the track absolutely fits Princess Mononoke.

@@moviegeek1111I had no idea the background track is not from Mononoke. I must agree that it fits this video.
You feel and think with your Heart, not mind. First Heart, second Logic. The way of Kokoro, you should know, Is your way 😊 you teach me tò like in this way in my actual Life. Thank you, Doumo Arigatou Gozaimasu.
2:13 : One of the most epic scenes I've ever seen. I've never cried out of epicness (maybe with Legend of Ashitaka), but that's absolutely beautiful. I could watch for three hours

you or whoever made this brought tears to my eyes, and i am 29y old guy. My favorite movie besides the LOTR trilogy of all time, watched it for over 20 years and every time i cried to it, sometimes just a few tears, but still. I honestly think that this movie had the biggest influence in my emotional development. thank you.
