World of WearableArt Awards 2022 - Finalist - Elizabethan Era Section - Brittany Glassey
Hi all! Still trying to manage my schedule here in Japan, but here is the reveal of a project I have had in the running for many years now. The world of WearableArt Awards is a huge yearly event in New Zealand, and I was so honoured to have my work be a part of it!
Unfortunately I was unable to attend as I am studying overseas, but it looked spectacular and I am very happy to have a video to share. I did film the entire making process of this project but have not been able to finish editing it, so hopefully that will be shared once I have the time to do so!
About Princess Pavlova:
Princess Pavlova is inspired by my love for the classic pavlova dessert, as it is tied to many positive memories of celebrating with friends and family. She pesonifies this joy, also taking notes from the origins of the pavlova dessert, being named after the ballerina Anna Pavlova. Princess Pavlova is gentle and graceful, carrying herself with unparalleled strength and commanding attention with her leading role. Made using paper mache, foam, modelling paste, beads and rhinestones
