Will a simple pipe with water flowing be a good example?

Yes! But in order to change the velocity of water inside the pipe, you would have to make some parts of the pipe more narrow (or wide) than the others

Does principal of continuity holds for compressible fluids like air.

Wow thank you very much. I spent 2 years of my college trying to understand these equations but failed at every point. Looking forward for the next video. I think fluid mechanics and aerodynamics videos are rare in KZitem. Many people in undergrad do not understand these equations keep doing these thank you very much!!.

I'm a little bit confused. I understand what the equation means but it just doesn't make sense in my head. From my understanding the equation says: the change of mass over time plus the input or output of the mass equal zero. How is that possible? I understand your examples but I don't know why it is "plus" and not "minus" the input/output of the mass for it to be zero The other way I understand the input/output is that they are equal (cancel out) and the equation basically just means the change of mass over time is equal zero. That means the mass doesn't change? That's the only way for that plus sign to make sense. Why one is correct? Help please?

Because whatever we add into the control volume and whatever comes out of it, should be the same. It's the balance of life

Answer: 1. Blowing whistle 2. Former term is mass change overtime, and the latter is the input or output of the mass. Is it what the question ask for? 🤔 I am just trying to convey it because I do research in aerospace policy, not engineering 😅 Good luck, Ms Aliya!
