Hey, in this video I will be fighting with the PRINS VSI gas installation - for a long time, after switching to LPG gas when cold, the engine stopped immediately. I thought it was going out immediately because the reducer wasn't working - I had already diagnosed various pressure issues with it - it was rising, falling, he couldn't keep it up, but somehow it was still running for 4 years since I was at the gas company and in order not to push me into the costs, he increased it. the dose from 115% to 140% - 4 years could be achieved with this "fraud" :)
Since last winter, there were problems with the switching, it often did not want to switch in the morning when cold - I kept thinking about the reducer and decided to replace it with another one, possibly the most suitable one, so as not to have to do too much modification - I chose STAG AC R02 EL (unsponsored! for myself). I paid for it :)) - why? Because it has an integrated VALTEK type solenoid valve - I even moved the coil from Prins, because it has a tight plug and it fit without problems and had the same power :)
Gas outlet from the top, water hoses at the bottom - just like my PRINS VSI VAPORIZER/REDUCER VSI 180/101025/B or B/25/15/031B
Additionally, very important - STAG has a 2.2kOhm sensor and PRINS VSI, depending on the sources provided, has 2.5kOhm - some write that it is 2.7kOhm - I managed to measure it in the video that it is probably 2.5kOhm at 21 degrees? I don't know at what temperature it should be measured? Maybe 20 degrees? If anyone knows, please write :)
The problem I was afraid of was the lack of a supply of 6 mm copper, i.e. the lack of a spiral on it as a vibration damper and reserve, so that, for example, in the event of an accident, the rigid gas lines would not break off immediately.
However - R02 is much smaller, and I managed to mount it much lower - where the previous reducer was higher than the engine head, cabin heater, radiator cap and expansion tank (reservoir) - i.e. all possible installation errors were made :D
Now the reducer is mounted lower, which affects the ease of bleeding it and, in general, the ability to self-bleed under the influence of the coolant pressure, and I removed the tees, i.e. it was connected in parallel to the heater, and now it is in SERIES - there should be a reducer before the heater, first and then the heater, because it receives a lot of heat what was visible on the thermal imaging, that the liquid returning from the heater can be 10-15 degrees cooler than at its inlet. I mixed up these hoses, I didn't think about it and the reducer is behind the heater - well, maybe I'll fix it while draining the fluid :) Now I have more important things to take care of in this car - namely the INJECTORS :)
Very good quality PRINS KEIHIN LPG injectors are installed in this installation - they are very expensive, but they last a very long time - people write that they even last over 400,000 km and still drive (yes, 400 THOUSAND kilometers :)). They just have to be CLEAN! :) Unfortunately, the gas precipitates mazut and other sticky substances that can "stick" the piston rod (especially in WINTER). This dirt turns into a kind of sticky/tar, I don't know what to call it - it may affect the injectors not closing properly - what happened later in the tests of my dear friend - Marek from Nadarzyn near Warsaw :), who runs a company dealing with professional cleaning of petrol and gas (LPG) injectors! His company is www.czyszczewtryskiwaczy.pl - I called him to find out how to clean the injectors, he shared his knowledge and experience with me and we decided that we should make a film about it together, which I hope will be made soon :) that I am from Szczecin, I sent the injectors to Marek and he recorded very interesting materials from the process of their inspection, checking, cleaning, measurement of opening times on an oscilloscope, etc. - it promises to be VERY interesting material - that's why I decided to isolate it from this film and make it in the form condensed pill :) Wait for this video :)
Anyway - the film shows my struggles with diagnostics and diagnosing the cause, what is happening in my case, why it does not switch and when it does switch, it goes out, etc.
The description is long, but if you read the description to the end, please write in the comment: "We are waiting for the film with Marek!" :)
Enjoy watching - Cheers!
