Late in watching the interview but great job. Especially in raising the issue of toxicity in the privacy community. This is one of the reasons why I rarely ask for help anymore in understanding it. Hopefully, people will become more open-minded and accept that not all people have the same threat models and the same concerns in regard to their privacy and security. Keep up the good work

"if a competitor takes the feature that's not good for us" Hate to break it to you, but that's how progress works. If you're going to get worked up over every competitor offering the same features you come up with, you're going to have a rough life. Also, it's never a bad thing to have multiple options. We don't need developers hoarding features. That's how you get monopolies where people are stuck with a single service and have no alternative to move to when that service goes to sh!t (i.e. Chromium-based browsers).

Really enjoyed this interview, I usually never read the comments but yeah they are kinda bad :D

Where are all of these supposedly "toxic comments"? Your complaints are always limited to what you tell your audience, without presenting ANY evidence. You present yourself and channels as "evidence-based", but all I see is you selectively choosing what and when the evidence applies, rather than applying that rule across the board.

Lots of positive but I guess that the backspace edit issue with Android/chrome that have been around for ages and lack of proper backup solution isn't a priority

Sigma also uses DNG for their fp cameras, and maybe some of the later Foveons (which are also amazing for true monochrome) -- John should contact Kazuto Yamaki (or his lead camera guy with the cool spectacles.)
