@petetown13 175 is obviously in Fahrenheit, which odk what that is, but I have the oven on 50°C of that's similar, just have it on the lowest it can be whilst actually on. Obviously you can't leave stuff rhere for 12 hrs, but its what I do because I cook eggs before bacon & veg, because means less mess in the pan (you don't want to cook eggs, of fried, on top of bacon grease etc, eggs fly off the pan easier), also, just cook your eggs a touch less than you want if you're scared of that happening. You should do anyway with scrambled & omelette as it'll cook for amin/2 even after it's out of the pan

@scotthill1600

Yup if I could afford it, I’d hire a private chef just to cook 3 healthy meals a day for me or at least 1-2 & I’ll cook the other bc I like cooking. Just to make sure I’m eating healthy, getting enough protein & calories in, as I’m trying to build muscle. It would genuinely be a lot easier to gain muscle if I had a private chef who knew nutrition well or I could just give recipes to. That’s just bc im 24 & haven’t gotten good at cooking consistently yet, I need to start meal prepping to get practice & save $ and get that consistent nutrition & protein. Imo 99% of ppl don’t NEED a private chef but if you can easily afford one & it makes your life better & or easier? Why not? I love food, I’d love to do 3 healthy meals a day & then one day a week the chef surprises us with a special meal, whatever they think sounds good & knows we’d probably like. Sounds fun & I don’t need that but basically if I was rich af I’d do it.
@CulinaryMisfits

Biggest misconception is that people that can afford a personal/Private Chef are pretentious/uptight. @@CulinaryMisfits private chef to help with raising a new born baby I think could be pretty interesting. I don’t have kids so I wouldn’t know but apparently it’s EXTREMELY stressful having new Borns, having a private chef to provide healthy meals for a pregnant mom & dad & then meals for the entire family after the birth to make that transition easier, is probably been going on for decades or hundreds of years but a cool idea that I just realized was an option Hospital food is one thing but a healthy home cooked comfort meal after pregnancy prob hits different. To be honest COVID unemployment ended and I needed money so I applied everywhere and I was hired as a cook at a diner with no professional experience. They are probably busy with careers that make the money so they can have these things at convenience. Childcare doesn’t mean you hate your children-quite the opposite. Nanny’s usually don’t live in the home unless your royalty from the 1900s. The chef has already commented that they are not pretentious. The nanny has to eat. You don’t know the ages of these children and their schedules. It’s very normal with young children to wake up before them and eat before or after them. Regardless of wealth it makes food routines and cleanup easier. Also easier to actually eat your meal as a parent. Not everyone is on a regular 9-5 schedule either btw.

You can draw whatever conclusions you want based on YOUR life experiences. They have little to do with the reality of what wealthy families lives are like. The parents, I'm sure, are used to dining at a particular time- weather at a restaurant, party or at home. This usually is later than anyone would expect growing children to be fed their meals. Another aspect, is that it becomes quite a task for one person to be able to accommodate all requests if the whole family is seated at the table, better to make two shifts!

I used to be a nanny 25 yrs ago in NYC & I lived with the family. I had my own room & use of a vehicle on the weekend. I did the shopping & I ate with the kids for bfast & lunch then I'd meet friends for late dinners. I could buy whatever I wanted to eat on their cc. But I generally ate whatever I made the kiddos. They were a good family. I had friends who had crappy bosses.

As a private chef myself. My client can be picky, although they dont pay me i do my best. Prepping the microwave and toaster is a hard task at times and throwing away the paper plates or paper towel can be a workout. I smile and serve with dignity knowing my client will be satisfied with my creation. I thank myself and then head to my other job because i can not pay myself

Very interesting channel! I had assumed that you were cooking in the client's home. What does it mean that you get a text from the clients that they're "on their way"? Just curious.

I was wondering about that too. Maybe they work nights and come home in time for breakfast.

The health department prefers you don't wear gloves... because since your hands are staying clean... most people tend to wear their gloves too long... getting them dirty & cross contaminating without realizing, whereas they would've likely cleaned their hands multiple times in the same amount of time because you care more when your actual hands get dirty while cooking. It is true... I use to see people wear the same pair for hours... doing numerous different tasks. But, if it were me... I'd wear gloves just to give my customers that secure feeling... even if it is a false security. Lol.

Gloves don't guarantee cleanliness. But the beard should be covered.

You shouldn't wear gloves. A kitchen is not a truly sanitary environemnt. Not like a bio lab. So you have to wash your hands constantly. At which point it doesn't make any difference. You just loose a bit of precision for no real reason.
