May I ask what the powder like substance was? that was poured on the moss? すばらしい! コケの上に散らばった粉状の基質は何でしたか?

There are no real waterfalls in this garden. In Japan, it is called karesansui. We do this without using water to represent water.

Typical isn't it. They go to all the trouble to make the garden and then the owners never water it and the moss goes brown

Maintenance is the most important part of creating a beautiful garden.

It would make a person cry. Put all that time and effort into a project and to see it go that way. Such a shame , when it could have been so beautiful. Sad. But it was lovely to see the process and how much time you spent getting the stone into exactly the right place! Well done, a craftsman for sure. I would love to see more.

@@suzismith9681 It looks like they started building the garden in the fall and they finished in winter. This has nothing to do with not watering the garden.
